2 NEW ADDITION Bardahl Motorcycle Oil not only meeting the certifications and maintaining the standards of both The American Petroleum Institute, commonly referred to as API, the largest U.S trade association for the oil and natural gas industry & JASO the Japanese Automotive Standards Organization, an organization that sets automotive standards in Japan, analogous to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in the United States. JASO (Japanese Automotive Standards Organization) had established performance classification for 4T motorcycle oil. Besides the standard API rating, properly formulated 4T motorcycle oil must also meet one of the following JASO performance level, namely MA, MA1, MA2 and MB. We are proud to share the fact that Bardahl SynMoto4 10W50, SuperMoto4 10W40 and Moto 4 Xtra 10W40 are certified MA2 oils, while Scooter Moto 4 10W40 is certified MB oil meeting both the API & JASO standards. DISTRIBUTOR NEWS - CAMBODIA PowerBiz Import Export Co, Ltd. became an official Bardahl distributor in Based in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, the founder of the company Mr. Hour Sokhy, by then already had 20 years of experience of selling lubricants under his belt and now manages the company with the assistance of his daughter Ms. Thany Sokhy and son Mr. Veng Ngon, keeping it a family business, so as to maintain the strong family work ethic. Formerly the distributor of another oil-major brand, PowerBiz had given up the brand completely ever since the brand started its operation in Cambodia in 2009 and sold directly to PowerBiz s customers. However, Mr Sokhy would not be blindsided and instead broadened his field of vision to source out a new supplier. He found Bardahl and preferred the more intimate and consultative working relationship and hence decided that Bardahl is a better partner that showed more potential. With Bardahl, we work as a team and as family with all our distributors and forge ties so closely knitted for as long as even years with some of them. 3 DID YOU KNOW Bardahl s 5W series of Fully Synthetic oil is BLENDED with ESTER! All Bardahl SynPulsar N products have now been successfully upgraded to the latest API SN service category. This should not come as a surprise since this top tier product range had always been fortified with advanced additive technologies (including Bardahl s proprietary fullerene based additives) and proven synthetic components, including specially selected ester. With the introduction of esters, we are now able to better supply oils with low viscosity (5W, 0W or even lower), low pour point, high VI and low volatility. This is designed to give excellent fuel efficiency and extended drain intervals, which were some of the main focus of ILSAC GF 5 requirements. The superior frictional properties and additive response of esters also allows us to meet the chemical limits (low SAPS formulations) to ensure effective protection of the emission systems. Synthetic esters, while more expensive than most other components, do provides a wide range of performance benefits. By choosing or creating the right ester for an application, we can achieve the required lubricating characteristics that can be retained overtime. Esters are generally polar in nature, a condition that is complementary with Bardahl Polar Attraction formulations. The image on the left shows some other common advantageous properties of esters. Synthetic esters reduce varnish and other deposits because they have outstanding oxidative stability and do not form many radical decomposition products. In addition, they work like good high temperature solvents, and tend to dissolve the varnish back into liquid phase, which can then be filtered out. It is specially designed to provide suitable performance in a wide range of CVT-equipped passenger vehicles. Otran-CVT has performed well in both field and laboratory tests, and in some cases, performs better than some common North American CVT fluids. 5 FACELIFT - Preview on New labels of all radiator products Bardahl DSG Fluid Some of the distributors have asked for the relatively new DSG (Direct-shift Gearbox) fluid for dual-clutch transmission. We are happy to announce that Bardahl Europe had recently made available the product - Bardahl DSG Fluid. This is a 100% synthetic transmission fluid specifically designed for the dual-clutch gearbox of modern cars and ensures smooth operation thereof. The excellent properties caused primarily by the anti-wear protection. This ensures longer life of the gearbox. The excellent thermal and oxidation stability results in a longer life of the oil. Also special anti-friction additives are added. This ensures very smooth shifting without any vibration. The DSG fluid meets VW TL (G ) and FORD WSS-M2C 936-A specifications. The product is available in 12x1L.
