2 Inspection Reporting Overview Teletrac s paperless Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) provide improved compliance management, while optimizing vehicle safety and maintenance planning. Teletrac s paperless Driver Vehicle Inspection Reporting solution provides the driver with fast, intuitive submission of pre-trip and post-trip inspections. These reports are filed electronically, giving the following benefits to the fleet manager: Real-time receipt of post-trip and pre-trip inspections. The ability to easily create FMCSA-compliant electronic reports for tractors and trailers. Faster notification of asset defects leads to reduced downtime. The abillity to easily flag vehicles that have bypassed or missed inspection reports. 2

3 Driver Vehicle Inspection Report Replaces paper inspection reports while retaining compliance. Run reports centrally for all pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Replaces the paper inspection reports that the driver would usually submit. Captures mechanic s remarks and shows time-stamped status updates, helping improve clarity over paper forms. Beneficial for paperless compliance with FMCSA pre-trip and post-trip inspection regulations. View the cycle of a vehicle inspection, including vehicle defects reported by the driver s pre-and post-trip inspections and the mechanic comments. 3

4 DVIR Summary Provides a summary of all driver inspections submitted for a selected date range, by vehicles. Vehicle/Asset Safety and Security Provides a chronological inspection history for an individual vehicle. vehicle subgroup or the entire fleet. Shows a time-stamped summary of submitted inspections and notes about defects from both the driver and mechanic. View vehicles that have bypassed inspection. 5 Vehicle and Trailer Defects Report Provides a summary of vehicles classified as defective during a post-trip inspection, in addition to giving a list of the defects and a time-stamp of the last inspection. Vehicle/Asset Vehicle and Driver Safety Provides a summary of the vehicles noted as defective during post-trip inspections, including a list of the defects. Driver remarks are clearly showcased, allowing managers to receive a detailed account of a driver s inspection (when applicable). Shows a time stamp of the last post-trip inspection for each vehicle. This report is beneficial for staying compliant and improving safety while identifying the vehicles in need of repair. In this actual report, the vehicle name, driver remarks and a list of the defects are noted, along with a time stamp of the last post-trip inspection. 5

6 DVIR Exception Report * Provides a list of drivers who missed a daily vehicle inspection, in addition to listing the vehicles that did not receive an inspection, based on a selected time frame. Note: For accurate reporting, drivers must log in and out of Fleet Director s HOS Solution on a daily basis. Vehicle/Asset Vehicle and Driver Safety Provides a history of drivers who missed a vehicle inspection report for their vehicle. Each vehicle name is listed next to the driver for easy review. Shows a time-stamped summary for a missed inspection report, including the status. This report is beneficial for staying compliant and keeping an audit trail of missed inspections by vehicle and driver. In this actual report, the vehicle name, including each driver s first/last name and a time stamp, is noted. The status is visible and reports that an inspection was missed for that day. *Available only for Fleet Director accounts with HOS. 6
