3 History Setup in 1967, the name comes from Hans Werner A ufrecht and Erhard M elcher who founded the company at the Old Mill in Burgstall near G rossaspach, the birthplace of Hans Werner Aufrecht It was originally named "Engineering office for the Design and Testing of Racing Engines" The name was later shortened to simply AMG AMG relocated in 1978 to Affalterbach, Germany Teamed up with Daimler-Benz in 1998 for its motor racing comeback in the German Touring Car Championship The two companies merged in 1999 & became Mercedes-AMG GmbH AMG celebrates it s 42 nd anniversary in 2009 Slide 3

4 Philosophy Working in single-shift operation, the engine factory builds approximately 100 AMG engines per day Customers can chose from a total of 16 unique AMG high-performance automobiles with a performance spectrum from 360 HP to 612 HP One man, One engine - A single engineer is responsible for assembling the entire high-performance AMG engine, from installing the crankshaft in the cylinder block, through mounting the camshaft to the wiring and filling up the engine oil. A signature on a specially designed engine badge bears witness to this responsibility Slide 4

If 93 Octane is used, the engine should NOT be revved to the limit. High RPM may damage the engine Mixed size tyres, why? Rear tyres are wider as compared to front tyres for better traction (RWD) Front tyres are narrower for better maneuverability What is the size of spare? LOGIC7: An active matrix multichannel audio processing system, originally developed by Lexicon and now used in several Harman products. It converts, or up-mixes, two-channel stereo signals into five- or seven-channel signals, allowing listeners to better experience the surrounding ambient sounds that are already in the stereo mixes.
