1 2018 Construction Contract Standards (original package) The following is a list of documents posted as part of the original 2018 standards: 2018 Standard Specifications: The 2018 Standard Specifications were created by incorporating the 2015 RSS dated into the Standard Specifications. No additional changes were made Standard Plans: The 2018 Standard Plans were created by converting the 2015 revised standard plans (RSPs) dated and earlier back to standard plan sheets and incorporating them into the Standard Plans. No additional changes were made Standard Special Provisions (SSPs) and Special Notices (SNs): SP template: The 2018 SSPs and SNs were created by converting the 2015 SSPs and SNs dated and earlier to the 2018 SSPs and SNs by hanging the filename of each SSP, removing any references to an RSS, and updating the header to the new filename. No additional changes were made. Contents of the SP template are the same as the 2015 version. The file was renamed to reflect the 2018 edition and the header was updated to reflect the new filename Bid Items: The 2018 bid items are identical to the 2015 bid items Style Guide: The 2018 Style Guide is identical in content to the 2015 Style Guide except: 1. References to the 2015 standards were updated to the 2018 standards. 2. The Guidance for 2010 Specifications in Appendix 2 has been replaced with a 2018 SSP Template Guide SSP Template: No change. The line styles are the same as the 2015 version.

Revises section A to clarify the intent of NDT on repaired welds and define weld length terminology for Class N steel pipe piles. Section J. Added sentence regarding the use of temporary decking if work is not complete to section 51. Section B. Moved sentence regarding girder erection from section 48 to section 51. Section Revisions to sections A, D(4)(b), Updated wet-mix placement, coring and referenced to section 90-1 for structural shotcrete. Section C. Revises section C to specify that the adhesion strength must be measured using Test Methods D, E, and F and Protocol 2 of ASTM D4541, which was updated in Section D. Revises section D to specify that the adhesion strength must be

Revises section C to change "where the project is located" to "where the coating is applied" to clarify that coatings must comply with the VOC limits where the coating is applied, not where the bridge is located. Added the requirement that the undercoats and finish or final coats must be compatible with each other. Section A(3)(a). Adds a requirement to submit documentation from the manufacturer verifying the compatibility of the undercoats and finish/final coats if requested by the Engineer. Section B. Added design criteria for temporary support shoring and bracing must comply with section B. Language from section B(2) was moved to Section 48 and deleted from section 60. Section A. Added sentence regarding the use of temporary decking if work is not complete to section 60. Section C(3). Revised revision clause to delete 4th paragraph of section to avoid conflict and redundancy. Section B(3)(c). Revised specifications to require a minimum cure time of 4 hours regardless of rebound hammer test results before allowing traffic and equipment on the bridge deck. Section A(4). Revised the strength requirements for posts and braces for chain link fences. Section B. Revised the material requirements for hardware cloth for permanent desert tortoise fences. Section C(2).
