TERMS OF THE SALE FOR ALL ITEMS: The City and Borough of Juneau (City or CBJ) is offering for sale, by outcry or silent auction, the items listed in this document. All sales are final. Each item is sold on an "As Is, Where Is" basis. The City makes no guarantee or warrantee whatsoever. 2 CBJ Outcry Auction of JPD Unclaimed ed Vehicles Page 2 IN ORDER TO BID ON ANY ITEM: You must be registered. To register you must be 18 years of age and have a government picture ID. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. the morning of the auction. Bidders can register (and obtain a bidder number) at any time prior to bidding, but you must have a bidder number in order to bid. All registration information the bidder provides shall be current, complete and accurate. After providing your name, address and phone number, you will be given a bidder number. That number should be used on all bids. Bidder numbers cannot be shared. Minimum bid will start at $ for each vehicle. PAYMENT: Payment must be made within one hour after the last item is sold. The City will accept cash, a certified check, a cashier s check, or a personal check with sufficient identification. Successful bidders will receive a Bill of Sale at time of payment. Failure to pay will result in exclusion from future auctions. Once you pay for the vehicle you are responsible for it. VEHICLE PURCHASE: Successful bidders will be provided with the paperwork necessary to obtain title and registration from DMV. All items awarded must be paid for and removed from the lot or you may be excluded from participating in future auctions. As the purchaser of this vehicle, you are required to go to the DMV to have the vehicle titled in your name. You MUST bring the vehicle to the DMV for an inspection. As of this date of sale, you are now legally and financially responsible for this vehicle. The vehicle CANNOT be resold until you title it in your name. CLAIMING YOUR PROPERTY: All items purchased must be removed from the lot by 4 p.m. the day of the sale. Items not removed from the lot within that time frame will be forfeited, and the bid amount (the amount paid for the item) will be forfeited as well as the item itself. Failure to do so may result in exclusion from participating in future auctions.
