1 Page 1 of 7 CEFC Qualifying Assets & Supporting Evidence ASSET (TECHNOLOGY) TYPES The following table lists all asset types (Technologies) that qualify for the discount. All Technologies Any project that is registered for ACCUs under the Emissions Reduction Fund. Confirmation of registration. Customer to provide a copy of the letter confirming they are registered Exceptions i. Any finance related to coal mining and production, coal fired electricity generation or deforestation must be referred to the CEFC for separate approval; and/or ii. Any methodology involving the sequestration of greenhouse gases, such as reforestation and avoided deforestation are not eligible for the Discount Amount. Light Vehicles Vehicles that fall into either of the following tests: (a) Green Vehicle Guide Test: For each subclass of new vehicles available in the Australian market, those vehicles with the lowest 25% CO2 tailpipe emissions; or (b) Threshold test The level of CO2 emissions as stated on the Fuel Consumption Label on the vehicles is no greater than a threshold test set by Equipment invoice detailing at a minimum Make, Model, and Variant. Also provide evidence of the vehicle meeting either Test (a) or Test (b) for qualification. TEST A Refer to the Light Vehicle Test A workbook on the EEF Intranet Page OR

2 Page 2 of 7 the CEFC on an annual basis for all passenger vehicles or for all light commercial vehicles, which will be 20% less than the most recent average carbon emissions figures for vehicles sold in the previous year as reported by the National Transport Commission. TEST B CO2 Emissions stated on Fuel Consumption Label must not be greater than: Passenger Vehicles: 142g/km or less Commercial Vehicles: 188 g/km or less Heavy Vehicles Automatic qualification (i.e. no need to refer back to the CEFC) IF the vehicle is: a) An electric vehicle; or b) An electric hybrid vehicle; or Equipment invoice detailing at a minimum Make, Model, and Variant, plus evidence of power source. Look for reference to electric vehicle, hybrid or natural gas on the invoice c) Powered by natural gas and has a high performance direct injection engine. Tractors & Headers Projects involving new equipment and may include reconfiguration of existing equipment, which results in: a) At least 20% less energy consumed per unit of output; or b) An overall energy saving of at least 20%,or c) Publicly available information confirming it is class leading energy efficiency characteristics. Completed pro-forma evidence letter (Schedule 2) from a qualified engineer or other technical expert e.g. qualified mechanic (with stated technical credentials) describing current equipment energy usage vs. new equipment energy usage. This needs to be quantified e.g. provide a calculation for energy savings. Alternatively publically available technical product specs describing equipment as industry leading for energy The following must be provided with the deal: CEFC Pro forma Evidence Letter Cost saving analysis If the customer is not working with an independent energy advisor then they should request for the supplier to complete the Letter and Analysis

3 Page 3 of 7 efficiency. Variable Speed Drivers (VSDs) All VSD s installed where no VSD was previously operating. Equipment Invoice. a VSD Industrial Commercial Refrigeration & Projects involving new equipment and may include reconfiguration of existing equipment, which results in at least 10% less energy consumed. This may include savings associated with waste heat capture elements of the project. Completed pro-forma evidence letter (Schedule 2) from a qualified engineer or other technical expert e.g. qualified mechanic (with stated technical credentials) describing current equipment energy usage vs. new equipment energy usage. The following must be provided with the deal: CEFC Pro forma Evidence Letter Cost saving analysis If the customer is not working with an independent energy advisor then they should request for the supplier to complete the Letter and Analysis. Reference point: NSW Energy Savings Certificates Scheme thresholds. Written letter from qualified engineer or technology supplier confirming expected power factor post installation of the PFC equipment and calculation of resulting energy savings in accordance with equations set out in ESS rule. Either the supplier or other technical expert should provide written confirmation that the asset will result in stated improvements Rooftop Solar PV Technologies that meet Australian Standards. Equipment invoice. Rooftop Solar PV Solar thermal including solar hot water and heat pumps Equipment that is on the Register for Small-Scale Renewable Energy Scheme. Any technologies not assessed for SRES (e.g. newer solar thermal technologies) must be referred to the CEFC for approval. Equipment invoice. a Solar thermal equipment

Equipment invoice. a Solar PV displacing diesel generation Batteries All battery storage and associated technologies qualify for funding where those batteries: a) Are recharged from renewable sources, including both solar PV and /or wind generation; and Equipment invoice. a battery storage assets b) Are integrated as part of a behind the meter renewable generation project. Biogas Any project which is registered for Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) under the Emissions Reduction Fund. Confirmation of registration. Customer to provide a copy of the letter confirming they are registered Waste Diversion and Waste to Energy Any project which is registered for Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) under the Emissions Reduction Fund. Confirmation of registration. Customer to provide a copy of the letter confirming they are registered Cogen and Trigen Projects require approval by CEFC on a transaction by transaction basis until a threshold test is determined. Engineering estimation of savings associated with reduction in energy from heating and cooling is As requested by the CEFC for individual approval. Confirmation from supplier or consultant advising on project. Cost savings analysis to be completed and provided to the Bank by the supplier or an energy advisor. Voltage optimisation assets New equipment where no voltage optimisation assets were previously operating as confirmed by a qualified consultant. Confirmation by a qualified consultant. Request a letter from the consultant or supplier working with the customer. The letter should confirm:

7 Page 7 of 7 The asset meets the requirements; and The qualification of the person signing the letter i.e. qualified engineer, industry expert with x years experience etc. Bundled projects of multiple building technologies Upgrades to buildings and tenancies that: a) improve the NABERS ratings by at least 2 stars; OR b) are expected to result in a NABERS rating of at least 4 stars or higher; or Confirmation from supplier or consultant advising on project. Either the supplier or other technical expert should provide written confirmation that the asset will result in stated improvements c) Others referred to CEFC for consideration. Lighting All lighting technologies that would qualify under the NSW Energy Savings Scheme or the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target. Supplier confirmation or invoice. Supplier to confirm if writing that this qualifies for the NSW Energy Savings Scheme or the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target. If this cannot be provided then escalate to Product team to review the tax invoice Irrigation All irrigation projects where the motors and pumps being installed utilise high efficiency engines and variable speed drives. Supplier confirmation or invoice. Supplier to confirm if writing that the assets high efficiency engines and VSD. If this cannot be provided then escalate to Product team to review the tax invoice
