Thanks to good capacity utilisation in the second half of the year, improvements to the order acceptance prac tice and effi ciency enhancements to work processes, the Group managed to outperform the previous excellent year and increase its operating result once again. The earnings per share was CHF (previous year CHF 20.11), which represents a yield improvement of %. Since the IPO in June 2008, we have steadily gained in strength and prominence with targeted acquisitions. In 2012 we also purchased two companies: Ebnöther Elektro AG in Schübelbach (Canton Schwyz) on 2 April 2012 and Bärtsch Elektro AG in Bülach (Canton Zurich) on 31 October The St. Gallen electrical engineering company E. Peter & Barbisch AG in Sargans acquired in 2009 was merged with Elektro Pizol AG in Wangs (Canton St. Gallen). The Burkhalter Group therefore consisted of 40 operating companies in 88 locations in Switzerland on 31 December It remains part of our strategy to gain additional market share by acquiring other electrical engineering companies. As the construction sector remains lively, we are optimistic about our future business performance. We expect that we will again be able to moderately increase earnings in the 2013 fi nancial year, even taking into account the fact that we were very successful in The success of the Burkhalter Group is due to the energetic efforts of our employees, for which we would like to warmly thank them all. Switchboards We plan, produce and assemble bespoke switchboards of every size from a simple exchange to a complex energy distribution and building management system. Services We provide maintenance and servicing of electrical installations and systems. Regardless of whether we are needed for small installations, service orders, repairs, maintenance or adjustments to existing facilities our customer service is available to you around the clock! telematics We design future-oriented solutions in the dynamic communications domain by inte grating the most diverse media in a single system and installing the requisite building wiring. automation We plan and implement measure ment, management and control systems and complex guidance facilities for buildings and industrial plants. We also install integral systems for building management / surveillance and energy data management. Security We plan and implement custommade technical security solutions and systems for the protection of people, data and property. Swiss projects Our central Swiss Projects organisational unit focuses on corporate customers with a regional or central organisational structure and with several sites in Switzerland. It ensures that these customers can obtain all their electrical engineering services from a single provider.
