The Minnesota Department of Commerce, Division of Energy Resources (Department), noted in its August 29, 2013 Comments that IPL appeared to propose a change in the proposed net salvage rate for its Centerville Combustion Turbine Unit 1 from negative 10 to a negative 15 percent. The Department requested that IPL confirm in its Reply Comments whether the proposed salvage change to this unit was accurate. If so, the Department asked IPL to provide support for the proposed change in the salvage rate. To clarify, IPL does not propose a change in the net salvage rate for this unit. IPL inadvertently reported the net salvage percentage for this unit in its 2013 Depreciation Study filed with the Commission on July 1, The current net salvage percentage should be 15 percent rather than the 10 percent included in IPL s 2013 Depreciation Study, and thus no change. IPL appreciates the Department bringing this error to its attention and apologizes for any confusion it may have caused. IPL requests that Part 6, Page 11 of 18, of its 2013 Depreciation Petition be replaced with the attached corrected page. Copies of this filing have been served on the Department, the Minnesota Office of Attorney General Residential and Small Business Utilities Division, and the attached service list.
