Rexroth MSK Motors Electric Drives Bosch Rexroth AG 1/ Introduction 1.2 Notes Regarding Safety Personnel MSK motors that are manufactured according to the ATEX 94/9/EC directive are based on the MSK standard motor type. MSK motors that are manufactured according to the ATEX 94/9/EC directive are characterized by an "S" on the 25th position of the type code. The following motors are available: MSK030 S MSK040 S MSK050 S MSK060 S MSK061 S MSK070 S MSK071 S MSK076 S MSK100 S MSK101 S These operating instructions provide special notes regarding the selection, commissioning, operation, dismantling and maintenance of MSK motors of the ATEX design. The motors must only be commissioned in an explosive environment if: All the following notes regarding commissioning and application of the project planning manual DOK-MOTOR*-MSK*EXGIIK3-PR - -P have been understood and put into practice. The overall system, consisting of motor, drive control devices, cables, and accessories was inspected, accepted and logged according to the requirements of the relevant standards. These operating instructions form a part of the product and must be kept by the user of the motors over the entire operation and lifetime of the product. If the product is passed on or sold, these instructions must also be passed on to each new owner or user. Is this product operated and used in another country or another linguistic area, it is only allowed to forward this product, if operating instructions written in the national language or in the language of the linguistic area in which the product is used are supplied with the product. The persons responsible for the safety of persons involved in the work or affected by it must act in accordance with the national legislation. All persons working on, with or in the vicinity of an electrical system must be informed of the relevant safety requirements, safety guidelines and internal instructions (source: EN :2004). Explosion protection motors may be commissioned only by qualified electricians or persons competent for the explosion protection, subject to the respective national regulations.

2/19 Bosch Rexroth AG Electric Drives Rexroth MSK Motors 1.3 Intended Use 1.4 Conditions for Use General Information DANGER Warning Symbols Ambient Temperature Connection Conditions In order to indicate special risks that exist during the operation of ATEX motors, the following warning symbols and signal words are used in these operating instructions. Signal words describe the degrees of hazard seriousness. The degree of hazard seriousness identifies the risk that exists if the safety information is not observed. In addition to the notes regarding safety listed here, also observe the general notes regarding safety of the project planning manual for Rexroth IndraDyn S motors. Warning symbol Signal word Danger Warning Caution Degree of hazard seriousness acc. to ANSI Z Death or severe bodily harm will occur. Death or severe bodily harm may occur. Minor or moderate bodily harm or material damage may occur. Fig.1-1: Degree of hazard seriousness (according to ANSI Z 535) The motors described here (components for equipment group II, category 3G/ 3D) are only allowed to be used in an area (ATEX directive 94/9/EC, appendix II, chapter 1.5.1), where no explosive atmosphere can occur during normal operation, as this is avoided by ventilation and monitoring. where explosive atmosphere can occasionally occur in an event of fault and this atmosphere can be eliminated and intercepted by the user immediately after occurrence. Thus the explosive atmosphere appears rarely and for a short period of time. This corresponds to the use of motors in zone 2 and zone 22. These conditions for use are valid for motors according to ATEX classification, group II, category 3. Explosion hazard! Danger of life or high damage to property! Only the components and accessories described in this documentation are allowed to be used for these motors. The conditions for use given in this documentation must be taken into account for any project planning and be observed during operation. The maximum operating temperature is 115 C on the motor housing at an ambient temperature of 40 C. The ignition temperatures of materials that come into contact with the motors must be much higher than T=155 C. The motors may be operated only with Rexroth IndraDrive drive control devices. Drive control devices of other manufacturers are not permitted.

Rexroth MSK Motors Electric Drives Bosch Rexroth AG 3/19 DANGER Connectors Grounding Corrosion Emergency Stop Fan Other Environmental Influences Ignition sparks can occur when motor connectors are disconnected or connected under load. Explosion hazard due to sparking! Do never connect or disconnect connectors under load! Before operating connectors, switch off the load and secure it against restarting. Speed-controlled drive systems contain unavoidable discharge currents flowing through the earth. For this reason the motors have to be grounded over the motor cable and over a separate ground wire with a cross-section of at least 4 mm². Check that the position of the grounding conductor is fixed before commissioning. If the grounding connector in the motor cable and the second separate grounding conductor on the motor housing are not connected or are interrupted due to corrosion or other defects during their lifetime, the discharge current flows (as leakage current) over conducting housing parts. This has to be prevented with the above-mentioned measures. (ATEX directive 94/9/EC, appendix II, chapters and 1.3.3, 1.4) Corrosion of the motor housing due to aggressive substances (such as certain coolants, lubricants, cutting oils or salt mists) is to be prevented. Energies stored in the intermediate circuit have to be reduced or insulated as soon as possible through the activation of the emergency stop device, so that in the case of a failure the risk of an effect into the danger zone is reduced. (ATEX directive 94/9/EC, appendix II, chapter 1.6.2) The following options exist for the activation of the emergency stop device: Reduction of energies via an intermediate short circuit. Insulation of energies before the transition to the potentially explosive area through disconnection of cables and motors situated in the potentially explosive areas. Operation of MSK motors manufactured according to the ATEX directive 94/9/ EC is only allowed without a fan. Observe the application notes in the project planning manual "DOK-MOTOR*- MSK*EXGIIK3-PR - -P" regarding dangers resulting from external perturbations, such as... Operation only inside the specified ambient conditions Maximum vibration and impact loads Protection of the grounding conductor connection from dirt, corrosion, humidity and/or aggressive substances etc Internal Motor Brake (if existing) Brake Control In normal operation, the brake (holding brake) located within the motor must only be used at standstill and for the realization of the drive-internal brake check. In these cases, only low temperatures (T < 100 C) exist and no sparks are generated because critical sliding of the brake linings does not occur. The brake s control mechanism must ensure this function in normal operation. Particularly under the least favorable installation conditions for the power supply cables to the brake and under the least favorable load condition for the power supply, a supply voltage of 24 V +/- 10 % must be applied to the motor. If a voltage divergence occurs due to a failure during operation, this failure must

4/19 Bosch Rexroth AG Electric Drives Rexroth MSK Motors Event of Fault 1.5 Residual Risks Overloading Grounding and Discharge Currents Material Aging Impermeability Temperature Monitoring 1.6 Labeling General Information CE Labeling according to ATEX Classification and Technical Data be identified and corrected immediately. The failure can be identified, for example, using a monitoring device for under voltage. Only in an event of fault, i.e. in the case of a fault in the system, may the brake be activated when the motor is turning, e.g. in order to prevent a dangerous lowering of vertical axes. In this case, sparks may be generated in the brake and increased temperatures may occur within the motor. When a fault occurs, the operator must eliminate it immediately. When the motor is overloaded, including cases where errors in the mechanical or electrical equipment of the machine cause such overloading, high temperatures may occur that result in explosion hazards. The operation in an explosive dusty atmosphere leads by and by to a dust layer on the motor, which does no longer ensure a sufficient motor cooling (see chapter "Maintenance / Repair" on page 12). Variable-speed drive systems cause unavoidable discharge currents. If the grounding connector in the motor cable and the second separate grounding connector on the motor housing are not connected as specified or are interrupted due to corrosion or other defects during their lifetime, the discharge current flows as leakage current over conducting housing parts, resulting in the risks of sparking at transfer points and, if explosive materials are present, explosions. The periods of action and penetration of explosive materials depend on the application. They depend on the aging of the seals, the mechanical design of the motor, the characteristics of the explosive materials and the average temperature that occurs during the operating time as a consequence of the load cycles. Due to unavoidable temperature fluctuations as well as due to the deterioration of gaskets, the housing is not leak proof. Hence, explosive gases that occur within the equipment during a fault can penetrate into the motor. The design and checking of the impermeability are carried out according to the degree of protection IP 65 (EN :2001). The maximum temperature of parts within the motor can reach 155 C during normal operation at maximum ambient temperature. The failure of the single-channel temperature monitor in the device system may occur, as the result of an error, and might not be detected, even if the motor is operated within the normal temperature range and load cycle. The type plates of IndraDyn S motors in ATEX design are fixed laterally to the motor housing. The type plate shows: Details about the classification of the motors according to the ATEX directive 94/9/EC Technical data of the motor.

Rexroth MSK Motors Electric Drives Bosch Rexroth AG 5/19 As early as during the installation of the motor, ensure that it is labeled accordingly and that it has a degree of protection that is sufficient for your application. Explosion protection labeling and meaning: Labeling II 3 G EEx na II T155 C II 3 D T155 C IP65 Code II Meaning: Equipment group II which is suitable for all potentially explosive areas other than firedamp-endangered excavations 3 Category 3, i.e. units suitable for potentially explosive atmospheres due to gas or dust, which occur only rarely and for a short period of time. G,D EEx n A T 155 C G = Gas, D = Dust. The European standard for explosion protection has been applied. Type of protection n means that requirements of EN for rarely and temporary occurrence of an explosive atmosphere are fulfilled. Non-sparking apparatus Maximum surface temperature inside and outside the housing, where explosive gas or dust can occur. IP65 Degree of protection according to IEC Fig.1-2: Fig.1-3: ATEX labeling UL Labeling for USA and Canada 1.7 Connecting Cables Thermal Stability Example of an IndraDyn S ATEX type plate The UL labeling refers to a UL recognition according to UL1004 and CSA 22.2, No For the use of motors in potentially explosive areas, cables with a thermal stability of at least 80 C (176 F) are to be used. Bosch Rexroth provides suitable ready-made connecting cables for the motors. They are checked concerning their conformity with the ATEX directives and relevant DIN and EN standards. When selecting cables, use the following documentation: DOK-CONNEC-CABLE-*STAND- AU - -P (MNR R ).

6/19 Bosch Rexroth AG Electric Drives Rexroth MSK Motors 1.8 Mechanical Attachment Preparation Mounting Before installing the motor, check whether the required information given on the type plate of the motor, such as Equipment group and category, Explosion subgroup, Maximum permitted surface temperature, corresponds to the locally permitted conditions for use in potentially explosive areas. Check the components for visible damage. Defective components must not be mounted. Before the installation, make sure that the environmental conditions on site, such as the ambient temperature, the humidity, the vibration and shock environment do not exceed the details specified in the project planning manual of the motor. MSK motors are designed for flange assembly (frame shape B05). You can find further details regarding mounting holes in the "Dimensional Specifications" section of the project planning manual "DOK-MOTOR*-MSK*EXGIIK3-PR - -P". For the fastening, the following general assignment applies: B05 (flange assembly) Hole Screw (8.8) Washer DIN E N Ø [mm] Type 1) M GA [Nm] Ø [mm] MSK030 4,5 M4 20 3,1 none MSK040 6,6 M ,4 none MSK050 MSK060 MSK061 MSK070 MSK071 MSK075 2) MSK076 MSK100 MSK101 9,0 M ,0 M ,0 M MSK131 2) 18,0 M none 1 Mounting hole M GA Tightening torque in Newton meters 1) Minimum screw length for screwing into steel. 2) Motor not available in ATEX version. Fig.1-4: MSK mounting accessories (flange assembly) The screwed connections must be able to take up both the force due to the weight of the motor and the forces acting during operation.

Rexroth MSK Motors Electric Drives Bosch Rexroth AG 7/19 Prepare the motor assembly as follows: 1. Procure tools, supplies, measuring and test equipment. 2. Check all components for visible damage. Defective components must not be mounted. 3. Make sure that all measures and tolerances of the installation are suited for motor mounting. For further details see section "Dimensional Specifications" of the project planning manual "DOK-MOTOR*-MSK*EXGIIK3- PR - -P"). 4. Check that all components, mounting surfaces and threads are clean. 5. Make sure that the assembly can be carried out in a dry and dust-free environment. 6. Make sure that the holder for the motor flange is deburred. 7. Remove the protective sleeve of the motor drive shaft and keep it for further use. 1. Check, whether the holding brake reaches the holding torque specified on the type plate. If the holding torque indicated for the holding brake is not achieved, the holding brake must be ground in before the assembly (chapter 1.9 "Holding Brake Commissioning and Maintenance Instructions " on page 7). Mount the motor and observe the following instructions: 1. Avoid pinching or jamming the centering collar on the motor side. 2. Avoid damage to the insertion fitting on the system side. 3. Check the fit and precision of the connection, before you proceed. After having mounted the motor mechanically as prescribed, establish the electrical connections. 1.9 Holding Brake Commissioning and Maintenance Instructions WARNING Preparation If the Optional Holding Brake is Used Assembly Checking and Grinding in of Holding Brakes by Hand Danger of life or high damage to property, ignition and explosion hazard due to inappropriate use! Any commissioning or maintenance works must only be carried out in nonexplosive environments. The environment must be free from explosive gas or dust. Before commissioning or maintenance works are carried out, the rooms are to be ventilated, if applicable, in order to remove any existing explosive gas. In order to ensure proper functioning of the holding brake, it must be checked before the motors are put into operation. The test as well as the grinding-in that might be required may be carried out either "mechanically by hand" or "automatically by means of the software function". Measure the holding torque (M4) of the holding brake. If necessary, grind in the holding brake. Measuring the Holding Torque (M4) of the Holding Brake 1. De-energize the motor and secure it against re-energization. 2. Measure the transferable holding torque (M4) of the holding brake with a torque wrench. Holding torque (M4), see "Technical Data". If the holding torque (M4) indicated is achieved, the motor is ready for the assembly.

8/19 Bosch Rexroth AG Electric Drives Rexroth MSK Motors Checking and Grinding in the Holding Brakes by means of the Software Function If the holding torque (M4) indicated is not achieved, the subsequent grinding-in process can be used to reconstitute the holding torque. Grinding in the Holding Brake 1. At closed holding brake, turn the output shaft by hand, e.g. with the help of a torque wrench, by about 5 revolutions. 2. Measure the holding torque (M4). If the holding torque (M4) indicated is achieved, the motor is ready for the assembly. If the specified holding torque (M4) is not attained after several grindingin processes, the holding brake is not operable. Please consult Rexroth Service. Checking the Holding Torque (M4) with P , C2100 Command: monitor brakes 1. The efficiency of the holding brake as well as the opened state are checked by the control device through the start of the routine "P , C2100 command: monitor brakes". If the holding brake is operational, the drive is in an operational state, after the routine was run through. If the braking torque is too low, the control device outputs a corresponding message. The brake test can also be carried out cyclically in the framework of a preventive maintenance. Restoring the Holding Torque (M4) by means of the Software Function The following possibilities are available: 1. Realization of the grinding-in routine IndraDrive "Restoring the holding torque" (see P , C3900 Command: grind in brake). A repeated realization of the grinding-in routine is possible. Upon the execution of the command C3900, it is not checked, whether the grinding-in of the holding brake was successful. It is recommended to execute the command C2100 (Brake Monitor) once again. 2. Grinding-in routine by superior control. Here, special control programs adapted to the machine and system concepts are required. If necessary, please contact your Bosch Rexroth distribution partner and discuss the grinding-in parameters for your application. More detailed information about the software functions are given in the functional description "Rexroth IndraDrive Firmware for Drive Control Devices MPx-xx, DOK-INDRV*-MP*-xxVRS**-FKxx-EN-P."

Rexroth MSK Motors Electric Drives Bosch Rexroth AG 9/ Connection Technique General Information DANGER Explosion hazard due to improper handling during the connection of the motor! Make sure that that the motor is only connected in the de-energized state and a non-explosive atmosphere. Before working on the system, always use a suitable measuring instrument (e.g. multimeter) to check whether parts are still under a residual voltage (e.g. due to the residual energies of capacitors in filters, drive devices, etc.); let their discharge times elapse. The connection between the grounding conductor and the system ground must be made before any other connections. The junctions to or on the control device must be situated outside a potentially explosive area or be licensed for the use in potentially explosive areas. The motors may be operated only with Rexroth IndraDrive drive control devices. Control devices from other manufacturers are not permitted. The motors have to be grounded over the motor cable and over a separate grounding wire (potential equalization) with a cross-section of at least 4 mm² (see Fig Connecting an Additional PE). The following connections must be made to ensure safe operation of the motors: Power connection (incl. temperature sensor and holding brake) Encoder connection Power and Encoder Connection WARNING Attaching the Connectors Adjusting the Output Direction Equipotential bonding conductor connection (according to EN :2004) Injuries to persons or damage to property possible! Interrupting or connecting live lines may cause unpredictable dangerous situations or lead to physical damage. Connect and disconnect connectors only when they are dry and de-energized. During operation of the system, all connectors must be securely tightened. When attaching the connectors with a screwed end fitting, proceed as follows: 1. Place the power connector in the correct position onto the thread of the connection housing. 2. Tighten the union nut of the power connector manually. By leading the cable in further, the power connector can be steadily brought to its final position. 3. Completely tighten the union nut. Only completely tightened union nuts guarantee the indicated IP65 protection class and activate the vibration protection. The flange sockets can be turned through 240.

10/19 Bosch Rexroth AG Electric Drives Rexroth MSK Motors Do not use any tools (e.g. pliers or screwdrivers) to turn the motor flange socket. Mechanical damage to the flange socket when using tools cannot be excluded. Owing to the leverage of the attached connector, the flange socket can be turned manually to the desired position. Proceed as follows: 1. Connect the motor power cable to the flange socket. 2. Move the flange socket to the desired output direction by turning the attached connector. The desired output direction is set Connecting an Additional PE WARNING Whenever the flange socket is turned, the holding torque in the set position is reduced. To ensure the required holding torque of the flange socket, the output direction should be changed no more than 5 times! Explosion hazard due to improper handling during the connection of the motor! A separate potential equalization line with a cross-section of at least 4 mm² must be connected to the motor, in addition to the grounding conductor. It is only allowed to connect the motor in the de-energized state. The motors for potentially explosive areas have an additional ground lug on the motor flange for this purpose. Use the potential equalization on the motor over the cable to the potential equalization of the machine or installation and tighten the screwed connections. Protective conductor terminal (1) Nominal cross-section Terminal area Fig.1-5: 1.11 Commissioning WARNING 4 mm² Terminal for additional protective conductor 4 mm² (finely stranded) 6 mm² (single-wire) Explosion hazard due to non-acceptance of the overall system! The commissioning in potentially explosive areas is prohibited, until it has been ascertained that the overall system corresponds to the requirements and certification stipulations for explosion protection.

Rexroth MSK Motors Electric Drives Bosch Rexroth AG 11/19 CAUTION Preparation Execution Damage to property due to errors in the controls of motors and moving elements! Do not carry out any commissioning works, if connections or operating states are unclear or faulty! Do not carry out any commissioning work, if the safety and monitoring equipment of the system is damaged or not in operation. Check the holding brake (option) functions before commissioning. Contact Bosch Rexroth for missing information or support during commissioning! 1. Keep the documentation of all products you are using ready. 2. Check the products for damage. 3. Check all mechanical and electrical connections (incl. the potential equalization line!). 4. Log all measures taken in the commissioning log. 5. Activate the safety and monitoring equipment of the system. When all requirements are met, proceed as follows: 1. Carry out the commissioning of the drive system according to the instructions of the corresponding product documentation. You can find the respective information in the functional description of the drive control devices. 2. Log all measures taken in the commissioning report. The commissioning of drive control devices and the control unit may require additional steps. The inspection of the functioning and performance of the systems is not object of these operating instructions; instead, it is carried out within the framework of the commissioning of the machine as a whole. Observe the instructions and regulations given by the machine manufacturer. Before the system is commissioned, you must carry out an acceptance inspection with acceptance log in which the notes and conditions for use specified here are confirmed. After repairs and disassembly in the course of the maintenance of safety-relevant motor parts, the motor must be tested individually again according to EN if the explosion protection characteristics were changed due to the repairs or disassembly (Section 26 in EN ).
