3 Irizar e-mobility: the future is now Irizar e-mobility s business is based on providing comprehensive electric mobility solutions for cities, both in terms of manufacturing 100% electric buses, and in terms of manufacturing and installing the major infrastructure systems necessary for charging, traction and energy storage, all with the application of the Group s 100% European technology and with Irizar s warranty and service quality. The product range includes 10.8m and 12m city buses, which have been operating since 2014 in various European cities, articulated or bi-articulated buses and other electric vehicles to serve cities already being produced in the new purpose-built plant. The Irizar Group aims to promote the use of efficient, clean and accessible transport which is committed to the environment and the well-being and health of people and which enables the creation of better urban environments. Particular emphasis is placed on reducing noise pollution, obtaining low consumption which reduces costs and developing zero-emission vehicles. 7 Environmental Excellence The vehicles developed by Irizar e-mobility offer a sustainable and eco-efficient urban mobility solution and respond to the current and future needs of city transport. From the design and planning phase, the emphasis is on achieving the greatest possible energy efficiency, increasing the vehicle s range and optimising its end of life management. Irizar wishes to contribute in transforming the world to sustainable energy and in this manner participate in the fight against the greenhouse effect and its consequences. The technology of the electric vehicles eliminates direct emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) and toxic substances such as NOx and harmful particulates when operating in urban areas, which contributes to a healthier and more sustainable urban environment. Electric technology eliminates engine noise, which means that your external noise emission, when stationary and in motion is zero (0dBA), while in a bus with conventional combustion it is 68 dba. The high power density and long life batteries are lithium Ion of the LTO family (Lithium Titanate Oxide) and totally recyclable.

8 A range of buses to choose from The Irizar e-mobility bus range includes the Irizar ie bus and Irizar ie tram models. The Irizar ie tram - A tram on the tarmac The Irizar ie bus The Irizar ie bus offers a sustainable and eco-efficient urban mobility solution and responds to the current and future needs of city transport. From the design and planning phase, the emphasis has been on achieving the greatest possible energy efficiency, increasing the vehicle s range and optimising its end of life management. The arguments in favour of this bus model are that is a totally safe, reliable, profitable product, with tried and tested battery life, efficiency and reliability and also offering operators significant customization options, with the guarantee of comprehensive service and maintenance for the entire life of the vehicle. Today, this 12m-bus model is used at full capacity in a range of European cities. Now the 10.8 m versions and the articulated 18-metre in two variants, are being added, all with 100% electric motorization and zero emissions. Both the 18 metre Irizar ie bus and the Irizar ie tram provide a great capacity solution of fast transport, connected and with pantograph charging system. These vehicles use latest generation technology integrating all the main infrastructures systems necessary for charging, traction and storage of energy developed within the Irizar Group. The Irizar ie tram is an articulated 18-metre bus. An articulated bus with the aesthetic attributes of a tram, developed based on the idea that the design participates in the attractiveness of the service and the city, and in the development of comfort for the citizen. The combination of large capacity, ease of access and the interior spatial organization of a tram, with zero emissions, define the DNA of this new vehicle. The Irizar ie tram offers a design that starts from a minimalist aesthetic language, without ornaments, with all of its features responding to specific functional aspects, creating an identity and an image that are easily recognizable by users. One of its most significant design features is the chrome edging that flows around the body of the vehicle. It makes for immediate identification and creates a appearance that is different to other similar vehicles. This edging, like an icon, is an identifying feature associated with the brand. The chrome edging runs around the large glass surface of the sides, which becomes a canvas on which the environment through which the vehicle travels is reflected. The front reflects fluidity and elegance, with a large glazed surface that evokes the heritage of the tram, which together with the full led optics integrated in the edging rings, creates a composite appearance that is avant-garde but technological and rational at the same time. The rear, which breaks with the cubic form of the use, is another of our major aesthetic advances. The innovative, inspiring design of the Irizar ie tram breaks with the classic transport codes and enhances the charm of the city by reflecting urban cultural diversity. Every last detail has been considered in the aesthetics of the tram, for example the hubcaps and the rear-view mirrors, which have been replaced by cameras that display their images on two screens inside the vehicle on each side of the driver.

9 The interior: The search for a unique space Irizar e-mobility has designed the passenger interior with consideration for traveller behaviour and interaction with the urban vehicle and different lifestyles and future trends. The arrangement of the seats, their high level of comfort and the integration of essential comfort and safety features, mean that the idea of social cohesion can be approached. Accessibility, safety, movement flow and passenger comfort inspire the interior design architecture. The arrangement of the interior spaces enables the adaptation of the different types of users, offering them all a comfortable solution. Thus, the spaces offered are bright and pleasant, designed for students, for example, because it has been observed that on all public transport networks, they prefer to sit at the back. The interior design seeks to offer the user a feeling of openness and light, where the transition between inside and outside is minimized through the transparency of the windows, so the passenger becomes observer of what happens outside the vehicle. The large side windows, together with the LED interior lighting and its central open air vault, provide brightness that transfers the user to a spacious, pleasant and safe environment. In the inter circulation area, a system with very low lateral inclinations has been designed to provide an open space towards the rear trailer. The system avoids the separation of the two passenger areas, is translucent and is equipped with LED lighting. These 18-metre vehicles have capacity for 155 people, making them unique among electric buses. They allow the installation of four sliding doors to facilitate the exchange of passengers with a reduction of time in the station, which is indispensable for reducing journey times and increasing punctuality on high-level service lines. The integral low floor and arrangement of the seats inside the vehicle ensure that passengers can enter and exit easily in stations and move around the vehicle without obstacle. We think of everything and everyone Furthermore, our arrangement of the seating is based on a mass transit configuration, which is ideal for improving the flow of passengers in the rear compartment of the vehicle, allowing for improved access to the articulation. The vehicle can accommodate two spaces for wheelchairs and / or pushchairs. The fitting of these areas consists of a stop request button in Braille, signs for the reserved seats (size and colour of the seats), a buzzer indicating the stop request and approved signs in the wheelchair space. In summary, a vehicle that is accessible to all. Accessibility is further enhanced by the installation of ticket validation devices near all doors, the design of the driving position, the interior layout with large internal movement aisles and improved manoeuvrability of people in wheelchairs and others with reduced mobility. These Irizar vehicles offer the same degree of thermal comfort as the rest of the Irizar range, and they contribute to the creation of a noise-free atmosphere. The kneeling function, with heights of between mm, enables comfortable and effortless access to the bus. For your entertainment, Irizar enables the installation of a wide range of solutions: USB chargers, WiFi, Braille buttons, luggage racks, passenger information, interior vinyls, etc.

10 Irizar group seal: Pioneering Technology The technology developed and applied by the Irizar Group is based on the experience and vast knowledge of each of the areas involved in each installation and in collaboration with the most prestigious research and development centres in Europe. It is a technology that has also been tested in Irizar s laboratories and test benches and in the vehicle itself. It is technology that optimizes the flow of energy between the different systems involved in electrification, such as the drive chain, battery storage, Wabco EBS and auxiliary equipment. Energy management and storage system The high power density and long life batteries are lithium Ion of the LTO family (Lithium Titanate Oxide). Irizar uses Toshiba s SCiB technology, 23 Ah per cell. The cells are arranged in modules that make up the final battery. Toshiba s LTO can handle high charging currents with a long service life of more than 15,000 cycles. The Irizar battery system responds to a modular concept, designed to meet the needs of any operator. It also allows easy isolation and rapid replacement in the event of an error in one of the modules, without affecting the operation of the rest. The estimated useful life of the batteries depends to a large extent on the operating and consumption conditions, especially mileage, operating hours, recharge cycles, bus occupancy and weather. Irizar offers the optimized solution for maximum durability. Safety in use Battery temperature is stabilized independently and the battery management system is integrated into the vehicle s circuits, so there is no fire or explosion risk. Moreover, they do not need preventive maintenance. The system is as solid and safe as required by the latest European regulations: R100, R10 and UN38.3. Recyclability Once the battery reaches 80% of its service life charge capacity, Irizar will change it and give it a second life by using it in static up to 50% of its service life charge capacity. The recycling process can then take place. Irizar electric motor Unlike other projects, conditioned by more standardized engines, the motorization of the 18-m vehicles responds to technologies designed and developed exclusively by the Irizar Group, which is fully adapted to the requirements of the vehicles. The engine, manufactured by Alconza, a permanent magnet synchronous motor with capacity of 230 kw, sufficient to respond to the required operations. Air conditioning system The Hispacold air conditioning system, designed specifically for zero emissions electric vehicles, offers a perfect balance between the thermal comfort of passengers and energy optimization, developed by Irizar for its electric vehicle. Electric doors The doors installed in the 18-metre vehicles are electric doors developed by Masats; the front door, swinging with a safety sensor and the others (sliding), are metre with sensor. They include a management control system with manual, automatic and shuttle modes. The electric and manual ramp is a Masats RT model.

11 The driver is our focus Maximum Profitability The driving position has been designed prioritizing concepts of ergonomics, comfort, functionality and safety and complying with the new standards EBSF (European bus system for the future - a European project managed by UITP) and VDV. In addition, a wide range of customisation options are offered. It includes pioneering technologies such as EcoAssist by Datik, a system that assists the driver in real time with the aim of reducing the vehicle s energy consumption and increasing its operating range. Although the initial outlay in buying an electric vehicle is higher than that for hybrid and/or diesel vehicles, Irizar e-mobility buses are cost-effective if you take into account their entire service life, as the total operating cost is similar for all three types of traction. Moreover, in many cases there are tax breaks that reward the lack of pollution and further improve the return on investment. The key is in the sharp decrease in the fuel consumption and maintenance costs, which are 70% lower than for conventional vehicles. When compared to these conventional vehicles, electric motors have fewer moving parts, leading to fewer breakdowns and less frequent services which results in significantly lower costs. Furthermore, in this search for maximum profitability, the Irizar e-mobility buses also emphasize reducing electricity consumption by incorporating the most innovative energy technologies, such as the EcoAssist system by Datik and the energy storage management system developed by Jema Energy. All of this comes with Irizar s warranty coverage.

13 A leader when it comes to range With a single charge of six or seven hours, the Irizar 10 and 12-metre iebuses offer a range of between 200 and 220 km at an average speed of km/h, ensuring between 14 and 16 hours of driving in heavy city or intercity traffic conditions. With a nominal power of 180 kw, the total on-board energy in the vehicle is 376 kwh, which enables a range of over 200 kilometres to be achieved, depending on the driving cycle and weather conditions. The bus also has a storage system capable of identifying and efficiently managing energy flows and peaks. The buses that are currently operating in different cities, along with the different tests being conducted by operators and urban transport authorities in various European cities, support these operating ranges. For the 18-metre articulated models, Irizar has designed the batteries following analysis of the needs put forward by the operator with the sole purpose of guaranteeing the maximum possible battery range. Installed nominal power is 230 kw and the with on-board energy of 150 kwh. For the charging of these vehicles, the in-operation rapid charge pantograph has been developed.

14 Better safety and reliability The Irizar e-mobility buses comply with the most demanding European safety standards. Its rigid and robust structure is designed to withstand side-on and headon collisions as well as to prevent lateral tipping. It includes hill holder and anti-skid control systems. The Irizar ie bus (10 m and 12 m) is the first electric city bus on the market that complies with the R/66.01 rollover safety regulations. Before entering into service, range of electric vehicles undergoes stringent fatigue and durability testing to prove its reliability. On the one hand, the manufacturing process of the bus is thoroughly monitored through inspections and on the other hand, the vehicle undergoes reliability tests equivalent to the life of the vehicle (600,000 km and 12 years). These tests are supervised by organisations external to Irizar and take place at the Idiada track. Our quality guarantee is our experience since 1889, creating buses and coaches that used in the five continents with their diverse weather and road conditions, as well as the knowledge and experience of the Group companies and technology centres. We also now have our own testing technology, which includes test tracks and test benches to guarantee the reliability and efficiency of the equipment and systems that with which the Irizar e-mobility vehicles are fitted.

15 Connected vehicle Irizar e-mobility offers a back-office remote diagnostic system to manage all the procedures of the bus line. It enables centralized monitoring and reception of different alarms in real time, historical studies, etc. The system provided is able to monitor the vehicle (doors, batteries, air conditioning and heating, pantograph, traction chain...), in-line and garage charging infrastructure. This solution provides statistics on incidents involving the different vehicles, consumption on the different operating lines and, practically, all information on the overall operation. The distinguishing feature of this system is that it is more accurate because all the critical vehicle solutions (batteries, traction chain, doors...) have been developed within the Group. This means that complete monitoring is possible, which results in very precise preventive maintenance. Remote diagnosis tools provide statistics on the availability and reliability of the bus, optimize maintenance times and monitor the system in real time. These are complemented by the specific functions of Eco-Assist, which is a system that indicates if braking and instantaneous accelerations are not efficient, thus contributing to reducing the consumption of traction linked to sudden accelerations; and the functions of the ipanel - Fleet management system to analyse CAN bus information linked to geolocation. With this fleet management system, in addition to comprehensive fully customizable monitoring of costs and efficiency, the performance and profitability of each fleet can be optimized and safety while driving can be provided. Datik s products and services are designed for commercial fleets of all sizes. Cost reduction Smart information enables better planning of driver training, the purchase of vehicles and routes to be operated, thus reducing energy and improving the competitiveness of the service. Ecoassist reports system data which can enable energy reductions, helping to identify sections of routes where more instructions are provided to the drivers. Energy monitoring gathers specific data on the exact energy consumption per route which enables future calculations to be made and issued, plus automatic reports that identify areas of improvement for reducing consumption. Safety when driving The manager includes a solution for monitoring driving hours which prevents the risks of fatigue and fines for violations and for monitoring compliance with speed limits along the route. Furthermore, ipanel enables speed limits to be configured by zones, controlling excess speed violations along the route. Ticketing ipanel incorporates a cloud-based ticketing system with state-of-theart technologies. The integrated solution with Operation Assistance System makes it possible to automate the management of the on-board sale and validation of tickets and RFID cards. The fare rules enable all kinds of fare policies. The passenger counting system accessory enables the manager to identify cases of fraud in real time. Anti-vandalism ipanel has on-board video surveillance cameras in permanent operation to record activity both inside and outside of the coach with intelligent labelling for quicker searching of the most relevant moments of the recording. The anti-theft device warns of any attempt to steal the bus. Passenger information ipanel provides information on routes, punctuality, incidents and advertising both on the mobile phones of the supervisors themselves, as well as on large anti-vandalism multimedia screens located at stations and multimedia screens installed inside the vehicle. Information to the traffic operator The traffic operator uses the manager to find out the location of the fleet and the incidents that may affect the planning of services, monitoring punctuality in order to support the configuration of the transport offer and exchanging messages between the control centre and drivers, channelling relevant information in order to optimise the service.

17 Charging systems Pantograph charging Different charging solutions are available designed by Jema Energy, a group company with 60 years of experience and knowledge in the field of industrial power electronics offering robust, reliable, safe and high-performance solutions. Solutions that provide the best options for the different conditioning factors customers face in terms of power limits, as well as space and operating restrictions. Irizar e-mobility advises on the different possibilities for designing the charging strategy depending on four key factors: the state of charge of the vehicle when it enters the depot, time available for charging, number of buses requiring charge and power available for charging. Recommended when the vehicle does not have sufficient range to complete the journey and it is necessary to charge vehicles during travel as well as in the depot. The charging stations are located at strategic points throughout the cities, at the end or start of each line, in order to charge/supply several buses or lines. This charger is a system for conversion of energy from a three-phase power network rated power of 600 kw and has been approved by ENEDIS, the French power grid operator, so Irizar is the first manufacturer of systems obtaining this certification. The system allows automatic or manual connection of the charger to bus batteries. It is an articulated mechanism installed in the roof of the bus and a vault connected to the charger and located in a structure or adapted pole. When the bus needs its batteries charging, the pantograph arm extends and establishes timely connections. The operator can choose from different protocols related to the opportunity charging procedure (automatic mode or manual mode). The new Irizar pantograph allows the vehicle to be charged in just a few minutes. Its modern and minimalist design offers easy integration into the urban landscape. In addition to the pantograph charger, the associated civil engineering can be developed and installation at each station is offered. And pantograph in depot It also offers the possibility of complete automation of the slow load in garages through the commissioning of structures with contact vaults installed above the parking spaces, replacing the outlet solution that needs a manual connection by part of an operator. The automation of the contact between the vault and the pantograph of the parked bus allows instant charging. This alternative solution reduces the presence of cables on the floor and, therefore, improves the safety of the operators. Moreover, this smart charging system integrates a remote diagnosis system to remotely monitor all systems and anticipate possible preventive needs. 18 Datik Autodock In-depot charging Datik Autodock assists the driver in approach manoeuvres, stops and exits. It is a system that can take control of steering and pedals and can guide the vehicle to a stop, with a precise, safe and very efficient approach manoeuvre. Datik Autodock can be disconnected at any time from the approach manoeuvre. Furthermore, the inner camera detects the degree of attention of the driver and if he is distracted or absent, can abort the approach manoeuvre by completing the DA task. Datik Autodock also contributes to performance optimization, given that the braking and starting intervals offer the greatest consumption variability based on the drivers and that their driving style, their stress level or rushing to finish the service may lead to increased consumption at stops. It also improves safety and comfort and levels of punctuality. The easiest and most traditional way of charging, in which the operator connects the charger to the bus with a type 2 hose. Available for use outdoors as well as indoors. Smart charging system This is a control centre that efficiently manages all charging conditions/restrictions in the depot. The system identifies the different charge requirements of each bus in order to optimise the total power required. Centralizes and records all data of the chargers and connected buses; it displays the vehicle fleet and their charge status; it minimizes the electrical power of the network by dividing the available power between the different vehicles; it limits the charge power to the maximum power contracted by the customer and configures the different electric tariff times to prioritize charges with a less expensive budget; it centralizes the information from the remote diagnosis system; it monitors the charging procedure of all connected vehicles.
