2 UIVERSITY PARKIG RULES & REGULATIOS The following rules and regulations were established by the University as a standard for the parking programs. Visitors are urged to read these regulations. In developing these regulations, Transportation Services is guided by the Texas Motor Vehicle Laws and the Texas Education Code The regulations apply to all vehicles on campus and are in effect at all times. Transportation Services, along with the University Police Department, has jurisdiction to enforce or impound any vehicle in violation of the regulations. The owner of the vehicle will be required to pay the cost of release, relocation and/or storing the vehicle. Any area not specifically designated for parking is considered a no parking zone and vehicles will be cited appropriately. All vehicles must be parked within the marked boundaries of one parking space or stall. o privately owned trailers are permitted on campus. Vehicles that are parked parallel must be parked with the flow of traffic and not more than 18 inches from the curb. Vehicles parked in garages or in angled parking on one-way streets must be parked head-in. Transportation Services reserves the right to remove at the owner s expense any public nuisance vehicle or one that is not parked in accordance with the regulations. Except on the golf course, privately-owned golf carts, Cushman or other slow moving vehicles are not permitted on campus. PARKIG RATES DAYTIME RATES 6 a.m. 4:59 p.m. Entry - 1 hr $2 1 hr 1 min - 1 hr 59 min $4 2 hrs - 2 hrs 29 min $5 2.5 hrs - 2 hrs 59 min $6 3 hrs - 3hrs 29 min $6.50 Each additional 1/2 hour $0.50 IGHT RATES 5 p.m. 5:59 a.m. Each hour $0.50 Max Daily Rate: $15 in Central Campus, University Center and West Campus Garages; no maximum in other visitor areas Lost Ticket Fee: $15 Citation for Inability to Pay: $40 Accepted: Cash, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover *Checks not accepted Vehicles in unpaid spaces will be cited. Customers have 15 minutes to exit the facility after payment is rendered. Additional payment is required after 15 minutes.
