O-Rings do have an important role up to date no failures during operation Actual report/investigation regarding life expectation of O-Rings CIGRÉ Session B in Paris Report 1) at by Soichi Moriguchi (Japan CHUBU Electric Power Utility) The result of the examplary investigation of 69 O-Rings 2) (Ø 10mm) of GIS after 32 years operation in outdoor application was, those O-Rings have a life expectation up to 51 years.
