9 Goods & Services A range of dumb waiters, service lifts and goods lifts with carrying weights from 50kg to 1500kg, all of which will help our clients meet the requirements of the Manual Handling Regulations. Service Lifts Micro Lift This lift operates inside a rapidly erected structure-supported frame, which is easy to install and requires minimal builder s work. No separate motor room or load-bearing shaft is needed. Available for 50kg and 100kg - catering for every requirement from food, laundry and documents to beer crates, small trolleys and industrial equipment. The Micro Lift can also be used in private homes to ease the burden of manual handling problems. Trolley Lifts Available for 250kg or 300kg - ideal for lifting heavier loads such as beer barrels, sack barrows, large roll containers or washing machines. Our larger service lifts are floor level serving and are more suited to loads being transported on trolleys and trucks. Goods Platforms The largest goods lift is the Goodsmaster. The new Regulatory reform (Fire Safety) Order came into force in October Any business or premises owner failing to comply, faces serious legal consequences including hefty fines or, in the event of a fire related fatality, imprisonment. However, despite this threat a recent survey has revealed that 35% of businesses in England and Wales are unaware of how the new reform will affect them. Nearly 50% of respondents admitted they were uncertain as to how they go about making sure they are compliant. The normal concept that, if you as a responsible person or owner/employer, can get a person to a refuge zone and wait for the Fire Service to evacuate them is now, in general, null and void. It is a legal requirement to have your lift inspected twice a year by a qualified lift engineer. Every new lift should be serviced to provide you with optimal performance and reliability. Provided this is done, your lift should give you many years of good service.
