2 AIR QUALITY IS OUR MISSION ECOSPRAY develops, designs and markets innovative technologies and solutions that are applied in cooling down hot gases and/or in the removal of regulated pollutants from the exhaust gases of power stations, marine engines, cement and steel plants, chemical plants, refineries and waste incineration. Our systems revolve around : DeNOx (SCR / SNCR) DeSOx and ACID GAS REMOVAL GAS COOLING and FOGGING PARTICULATE and SOOT REMOVAL Temperature Filtration) BIOGAS CLEANING and UPGRADING (Catalytic and/or High
3 SYSTEMS FOR THE MARINE APPLICATIONS In the marine industry, Ecospray proposes ECO-EGC, a proprietary multi-pollution cleaning system, which allows shipowners to fully comply with IMO regulations in ECA s. ECO-EGCTM systems comprise the pre-treatment of the exhaust gas through a patented Catalytic Dry Filter ECO-CDFTM or ECODOCTM (Diesel Oxidative Catalyst reactor) installed downstream of the turbocharger. Further to the filter, the EGC system is completed with a DeSOx sea water tower specifically designed to remove SO2 with performance > 99%. ECO-EGCTM can also be completed with ECO-NOx, a proprietary SCR system to reduce NOx emission in compliance with IMO Tier III regulation.

7 FILTRO CATALITICO - CATALIZZATORE CATALYTIC FILTER OXIDATIVE OSSIDATIVO CATALYST CDF or DOC ensures the removal at the funnel outlet of: SOOT, ASHES and HEAVY METALS (with CDF only) UNBURNED HYDROCARBONS and PAH (with DOC or CDF) CARBON MONOXIDE (with DOC or CDF) Advantages: - Reduction of the white plume at the funnel - Reduction of the black smoke when the engines start - Removal of NO2 (very low level of nitrates in the water discharge) - Less cleaning of the economizer

12 DeNOx SCR IN DIESEL MARINE ENGINES 4 STROKE ENGINES: DeNOx SCR reactor can be installed up-stream the economizer to be used at the higher gas temperature possible (minimum 330 C) 2 STROKE ENGINES: In this case the gas temperature is usually much lower than 330 C and ABS condensation can easily occur on the catalyst. Therefore, the SCR reactor should be installed before the turbocharger where the gas temperature is above 380 C. Of course, turbocharger operation (surge or turbo lag) should be considered for this specific design, as well as also the reactor designed for a relatively high pressure.
