23 SECTIONAL DRAWINGS Floor structures Composite floor structures Guidelines for the preparation of ceramic flooring using the vibration process AK QR (January 2015) describes the use of the vibration process for producing mechanically resistant and highly resilient ceramic floor cove designed especially for use on commercial and industrial premises. The design of the ceramic clad flooring surfaces can be made in direct connection with the supporting substructure, on separating layers or on insulation. The 1 minimum thickness of underlay required for composite installations is 1 /2, on a separating 1 layer 2 /2, 3 and on insulation 3 /8.
