5 WEBs-AX 3.6: Major Highlights RSA SecurID Integration - Allows users to authenticate to Niagara AX using RSA SecurID server to validate a user s credentials. The system includes a server that manages the credentials for each user. Each user will have a unique token which provides a token code that changes every few minutes. Tokens can be a credit-card with an LCD display, a thumb drive or a software application. This token code serves as the user s password. Login using RSA SecurID is supported both in workbench and the browser. 32 FAQs on Compatibility Which tool should I use for new hardware? New Spyder Tool enables both Spyder Micro BACnet and added functionality of the TR71, TR75 Spyder Micro will not work with any existing Spyder Tool versions When will the TR70 s be discontinued? Do I need to buy a new one? TR70's will continue to be shipped until the end of July, TR71's will be priced the SAME as the TR70's Can the new Zios be used with old Spyders? YES. But only with TR70 functionality. Spyder firmware (with the exception of Micro BACnet devices) must change and the new Spyder tool must be used to accommodate the new Zio and Zio Plus functionality. We plan to start shipping Spyders with new firmware approximately May 21. How will I know whether the Spyder has new firmware or not? Spyder part numbers will NOT change. Spyder firmware versions can be identified by a series advance number "2" on the device and a date code change on the device, unit pack and overpack box. We will publish the date code change when it becomes available 32

33 FAQs on Compatibility What happens to Spyders on my existing jobs? Can I change Spyder firmware in the field? YES, the Spyder firmware re-flash tool, separate from the core Spyder tool can be used to flash "back" the new Spyders so they can work with older Spyder Tools The re-flash tool can also be used to flash "forward" an old Spyder to a new Spyder, so it can work with the new tool and offer the added Zio functionality The re-flash tool is independent from the Niagara environment and only requires a PC with LON or BACnet connection to the Spyders. It can be downloaded on the Buildings Forum Do I have to re-program new Zios while replacing the old on my existing jobs? TR71's can replace TR70's in ALL applications WITHOUT the need to touch the Spyder program Added functionality is NOT available in the TR71 unless the old Spyder is flashed forward with the new Spyder re-flash tool 33
