2 PRODUCT OVERVIEW The objective of the All New Discovery is to broaden the appeal of the Full Size Discovery (US LR4) beyond its traditional base and conquest mainstream premium SUVs (Audi Q7, Volvo XC90 and Mercedes GLE) by marrying traditional Discovery practicality with more modern design. The All New Discovery is positioned as a highlyy capable, versatile and desirable premium full size SUV. It is this all round performance that will set it apart from the competition. It has improved off road capability and towing capability compared to the LR4, and is slightly larger. While highly flexible and space efficient, L462 has a dynamic and progressive design aimed at attracting customers who never previously considered a Land Rover LR4. Core design elements are maintained, including the floating roof, clamshell hood, fender vents, stepped roof, and asymmetrical tailgate. The vehicle has a number of core and adjacent competitors. Core competitors include the new Audi Q7, the new Volvo XC90 and the Mercedes GLE. The new Discovery offers a much broaderr appeal than the LR4, with improved comfort, efficiency, and available capability.

ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS (ADAS)* The ADAS features are grouped into three groups: Level 1 Drive Package Level 2 Drive Pro Package (Includes All Level 1 Drive Features) Standalone Options Drive Package (Driver Assistance Level 1) (Requires Vision Assist Package) Blind Spot Monitor surveys potential blind spots on either side of the vehicle and alerts the driver. This feature also includes Closing Vehicle Sensing which scans behind the car for fast approaching vehicles. Traffic Sign Recognition Detects speed limit signs, projecting information on the TFT Instrument Cluster and/or Head Up Display (if selected). Intelligent Speed Limiter An evolution of the current speed limiter, uses Traffic Sign Recognition to automatically adjust the set speed limit and help keep the vehicle within legal speed limits. Driver Condition Monitor Monitors driver fatigue by analyzing steering habits i.e. sudden corrections in the steering wheel; providing a notification to take a break. Reverse Traffic Detection monitors cross traffic in reverse and provides an alert to the driver if an oncoming hazard is detected Drive Pro Package (Driver Assistance Level 2) (Requires Vision Assist Package) Drive Pro Package contains all Drive Package features, plus: Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist Using forward facing radar, this system adapts the cruise control speed to maintain a minimum pre set distance to the vehicle in front and is designed to bring the vehicle to a stop in stop and go traffic. Intelligent Emergency Braking this radar based feature is designed to reduce speed to reduce the potential or severity of a collision if traffic slows quickly or another vehicle suddenly moves into their lane. Intelligent Emergency Braking is included with Adaptive Cruise Control. Blind Spot Assist adds on to Blind Spot Monitor. If the driver initiates a lane change and there is a vehicle approaching or in the blind spot, the system is designed to provide a gentle steering correction away from the vehicle in the blind spot. Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. This feature is designed to provide a gentle steering correction when the vehicle unintentionally drifts out of a lane without a turn signal. Standalone Driver Assistance Features: Preferred Option: Autonomous Emergency Braking Using a stereo camera mounted at the upper part of the windshield, this system monitors what is in front of the vehicle and is designed to reduce the speed of the vehicle in case of an imminent collision. 360º Parking Aid Provides 360º parking sensor coverage. Park Assist advanced parking features including parallel/perpendicular parking and parking exit. Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist and Intelligent Emergency Braking offered as a standalone option or as part of ADAS Level 2 (Drive Pro Package).
