4 Dynamic power Passion inside It s hard to remain indifferent in the face of so much technology and such performance. At the heart of the Stelvio, there s a wide range of engines, both petrol and diesel, each with an all-aluminium block: meaning light weight, high performance and eco-integrity. There s a 2.0-litre Turbo Petrol in 200 HP and 280 HP versions with Q4 all-wheel drive, a 2.2-litre Turbo Diesel in 190 and 210 HP versions with Q4 all-wheel drive, and a 190 HP 2.2-litre Diesel with rear-wheel drive. That s why the solid, sizeable proportions of the SUV generate a striking new harmony with the brand s defining features: the contours of the front end yield a first-class drag coefficient, despite the car s volume and without sacrificing Alfa s hallmark trilobe. And never before has a car of this height had such sporting dynamism. The sinuous musculature of the flanks appears to project the car forward even when it s standing still. 8 The shared pleasure of a cabin designed, right down to the last detail, to exhilarate the driver and pamper the passengers. That s the Stelvio too. Spacious surfaces, Walnut and Grey Oak wood, Haptic Aluminium, Mosa and Luxury leather, and technical fabrics; all selected materials finished with the unique craftsmanship of Italian know-how. For a sports-oriented interior that s cosseting too, in typically Alfa Romeo style. The second row seats three adults in comfort, with easy access and plenty of leg room and knee room. And there are plenty of storage compartments too, for everything you might need on the road. The trunk is another of the Stelvio s strong points. With electric opening and up to 525 litres of fully usable space that s made even more versatile by the independently folding rear seats. And when your hands are busy taking luggages or shopping bags, you can easily open the tailgate by positioning your foot under the rear bumper (OPT).

9 ALFA ROMEO DNA A NEW TRIP WITH A LITTLE TWIST Simply turn the Alfa DNA drive mode selector, and the Stelvio is ready with the perfect set-up for the road or the driver s mood. There are three different drive modes to choose from, which completely transform the car s dynamic performance. The adjustments affect the engine s torque curve, brakes (via the Pre-Fill device), transmission logic, accelerator response, stability control system (ESC) and traction control (ASR). The result is a car with three distinct characters, so you can make every journey suit your mood

10 Driving EXcitement A SINGLE GESTURE TO DOMINATE THE ROAD Electronics are an integral part of every modern car and help deliver levels of performance, safety and driving pleasure that were unthinkable until a few years ago. On top of all this, the Stelvio benefits from all-wheel drive with Q4 technology, the innovative on-demand system that combines the advantages of four-wheel drive with the driving pleasure that only rear-wheel drive can deliver. The Q4 system includes an active transfer case and front differential designed to meet the specific technical requirements of Alfa Romeo and responsively handle high torque levels with a particularly compact, lightweight set-up. It works by constantly monitoring road conditions and driving style, and optimising torque distribution between the front and rear axles, to maximise grip and handling on every road surface. In normal conditions the Stelvio acts like a rear-drive vehicle, with the Q4 system sending 100% of the torque to the rear axle, but if the system detects rear-wheel slippage it transfers up to 50% of the torque to the front axle in real time. The result is impeccable performance everywhere: on a hairpin bend, an unsurfaced track, a snow-covered straight or when cornering in driving rain. With the Q4 system, you really can have more stability when you need it and maximum performance at all times

Integrated Brake System (IBS). This innovative electromechanical system combines the stability control and brake system. Not only allowing a significant reduction in weight, this device optimizes the feeling of the brake pedal, guaranteeing an instantaneous response and braking distance of km/h in less than 39m. Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM). Two radars mounted in the rear bumper continuously monitor the blind spots behind you on both sides of the vehicle. In the event of a potential risk situation, the system triggers warning lights on the door mirrors, to alert you to the presence of obstacles alongside the vehicle. ibs ibs Lane Departure Warning (LDW). A video sensor installed on the windscreen recognises the lane markings on the road surface and alerts the driver with audio and visual warnings, if the driver moves out of the lane involuntarily or fails to use turn signals. Forward Collision Warning (FCW) with Autonomous Emergency Brake (AEB). Features pedestrian detection and active braking. This system alerts the driver to the risk of frontal collision with acoustic and visual signals, before activating the braking system as necessary. Below 50 km/h around town, what s more, it detects pedestrian presence in the car s direction of travel and applies the brakes automatically if the driver can t react in time. Rear Cross-Path Detection (RCPD). This system monitors the road behind you when you re reversing, and alerts you if another vehicle approaches at right-angle. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). Keeps your car at a constant cruising speed and monitors its distance from the car in front at all times. If this distance falls below the safety threshold, the system slows your car down. As soon as the road ahead is clear again, the Adaptive Cruise Control automatically returns your car to the selected cruising speed. Hill Descent Control (HDC). This systems maintains the vehicle at a constant speed while descending by automatically operating the brakes.
