2 SOME MAKE. WE CREATE heralds another new chapter for Alfa Romeo, with the launch of our first ever SUV this Autumn. Like no other, Alfa Romeo Stelvio contradicts traditional SUV values. Ride height and comfort blend harmoniously with driver appeal. It rewrites the rules of its class, to become the ideal car for those who won t settle for less, offering the versatility of an SUV with the performance of the latest benchmark in sports saloons. Built in the Cassino plant, situated between Naples and Rome, the All-New Alfa Romeo Stelvio is created alongside the stunning Alfa Romeo Giulia. 3

3 INSPIRED BY THE WORLD S G R E AT E S T D R I V I N G R O A D The All-New Alfa Romeo Stelvio draws inspiration from the legendary mountain pass linking Italy to Switzerland, with 48 hairpins in quick succession. The Stelvio pass is widely seen as one of the most beautiful and engaging roads on the planet. Therefore it is the ideal place to put the All-New Alfa Romeo Stelvio to the test. 5

4 AN SUV MADE THE ALFA ROMEO WAY Electronics are an integral part of every modern car and help deliver levels of performance, safety and driving pleasure that were unthinkable until a few years ago. On top of all this, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio benefits from All-Wheel Drive with Q4 technology, the innovative on-demand system that combines the advantages of four-wheel drive with the driving dynamics that only rear-wheel drive can deliver. The Q4 (All-Wheel Drive) system includes an active transfer case and front differential designed to meet the specific technical requirements of Alfa Romeo and responsively handle high torque levels with a particularly compact, lightweight set-up. It works by constantly monitoring road conditions and driving style, and optimising torque distribution between the front and rear axles, to maximise grip and handling on every road surface. In normal conditions the Alfa Romeo Stelvio acts like a rear-drive vehicle, with the Q4 system sending 100% of the torque to the rear axle, but if the system detects rear-wheel slippage it transfers up to 50% of the torque to the front axle in real time. The result is impeccable performance everywhere: on a hairpin bend, an unsurfaced track, a snow-covered straight or when cornering in driving rain. With the Q4 system, you really can have more stability when you need it and maximum performance at all times. 7

5 YOUR JOURNEY WITH A TWIST Simply turn the Alfa D.N.A. driving mode selector, and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio is ready with the perfect set-up for your road ahead. There are three different driving modes to choose from, which completely transform the car s dynamic performance. The adjustments affect the engine s torque curve, brakes (via the Pre-Fill braking system), transmission logic, accelerator response, stability control system (ESC) and traction control (ASR). The result is a car with three distinct characters, so you can make every journey suit your driving needs. 9
