4 4 WHAT IS PVC AND HOW IS PRODUCED PVC- polyvinylchloride- is a synthesis product. Its principal materials are rock salt (common salt) and petroleum, in which, its content, in comparison to other plastic products, is lower. PVC, used for windows construction, does not contain plasticizing additives and does not release any heavy metal. Modern productive processes and standard workings, have allowed to obtain a strong reduction of harmful substance emission within environment, thanks to rationalization of fossil fuel consumption. THERMAL INSULATION PVC is right particularly for obtaining better thermal transmittance values, because it is a material with a low conductivity. SOUND INSULATION PVC is a echoless material, that is it does not resound and produces sound insulation of high value. MAINTENANCE PVC windows don t need extraordinary maintenance. We avoid to use paints and solvents. It s always necessary, as for other windows type, to make ordinary maintenance. DURABILITY PVC profiles are not-deformable and shockproof. 7 WHAT S RAU -FIPRO 7 Materials in composite fibre are formed by 2 principal components: base material and fibre-reinforced material. Interaction between these 2 materials improves general properties of product. VISCONTE HP line is realized in RAU-FIPRO, an innovative PVC reinforced with fibres. RAU-FIPRO gives to windows excellent properties of thermal insulation: thanks to high stability, it s possible to renounce to use steel reinforce and to eliminate thermal bridges. 12 12 GASKETS Window has different gaskets, each of them has its characteristic. External gasket (1), used for improve sound insulation, is realized in PVC color grey and black. Internal gasket between profile-frame (2) posed into frame profile and used for increase sound and thermal insulation, and window s holding, is realized in PVC available in colors grey and black. Internal glass gasket (3) realized in PVC color grey and black, allows an excellent pressure between double glazing and profile. PVC PROFILES CLASSIFICATIONS FOR CLIMATIC AREAS UNI EN regulation classifies PVC profiles for climatic areas. Regulation is reffered to only white or cream profiles with smooth surface; it is not applied to profiles with cover surfaces or acrylic. On the basis of regulation European territory is divided into 2 areas as table indicates. S areas is determined by one of these options: 1. solar energy greater or equal than 5GJ/m²; 2. medium temperature of the hotter mouth greater or equal than 22 C. In some geographical areas of our country could be indicated radiation lower than 5GJ/m² but always with temperature greater than 22 C. Therefore all Italian territory is classified as S area.
