It is microprocessorcontrolled, features over the patient arms and choice of instrument delivery - hanging tubings or balanced arms. a The a model is similar to the i except it is designed specifically for air-driven handpieces and utilizes a simple disc foot control. The chair side lift is built into the unit s main pedestal. It also features over the patient arms with balanced arm instrument delivery. e The economical e unit is mounted to the patient chair which utilizes a cantilever lift mechanism. Over-the Patient Arms Featuring a needle bearing and a stable, lock-free height adjustment, the over-the-patient arms allow the instruments to be positioned within easy reach, yet out of the way of the patient. Dual Handled Console With a handle on each side, the console can be easily positioned for left- or right-hand operators, works seamlessly for the solo practitioner or the 4-handed team, and can be conveniently repositioned during treatment by the assistant or doctor. Balanced Instrument Arms completely flexible forward and sideways to eliminate wrist fatigue, the balanced instrument arms automatically activate the selected handpiece while keeping the handpiece hose away from the patient, even when the console is positioned near the oral cavity. Intelligent Plug & Perform Instrument Hoses The flexible, silicone-coated instrument hoses are light and easy to handle and feature unit-end Plug & Perform quick connectors. This Planmeca feature means that any instrument and hose can be placed in any position with no special internal adjustments. Just attach the hose to the console and the microprocessor automatically selects the correct services as programmed by the operator (air pressure, water or electric) for each handpiece. Important: a Model (Air-driven) units do not Plug & Perform. Supply services must be adjusted for each instrument. Integrated Doctor s Touchpad Control Washable and disinfectable touchpad provides programming for chair positioning, cuspidor and cup filler activation, handpiece adjustments and controlling the optional operatory light. Optional PLUS Package The PlUS Package extends touchpad features to include custom programming for up to 6 users and adds command functions for the optional electric handpiece speed (rpm) control, instrument power/speed limitations and programming, as well as 6 programmable timers and advanced spray functions. Infection Control/Asepsis Features Beside having easy-to-clean surfaces, all parts exposed to contamination are either removable or protected by removable elements - like the autoclavable silicone cover mat. The console provides easy access to the dynamic instruments and the top mounted tray. Note: Hanging tubing instrument delivery is NOT available on the e Model (Chair-mounted) or the a Model (air-driven). Adjustable Instrument Holders The angle of each individual instrument holder can be adjusted so the user can position each handpiece or instrument for optimal access. There is an optional 6th instrument holder available for the Planmeca Intracam af. Integrated Tray Table The instrument console can be equipped with a large, sturdy tray table. The tray table can be located on the top of the instrument console or offset to the side of the console over the patient. Syringes are always placed in the ❶ position. Choice of High-Speed Handpiece Tubing The high-speed handpiece hose is available for 32 psi or 38 psi drive air pressure. Plug & Perform handpiece hoses are available with a 6-pin fiber optic handpiece connector and a 4-hole non-fiber optic handpiece hose connector. Standard configuration includes one high-speed tubing. Low-Speed Handpiece Tubing all units are equipped with a standard 4-hole low-speed handpiece Plug & Perform hose which will operate air-driven low-speed handpieces. User-Programmable Chair Positioning Four user-programmable treatment positions, last position memory, and auto-return. manual trim function positioning always available. When the chair is in a treatment position, the optional operatory light can be set to turn on automatically. Simple Trendelenburg Positioning (All Models) The Trendelenburg feature allows feet to be positioned 4 above head level to circulate blood to patient s head. Position chair to full horizontal position (push and hold foot control to left); then once chair has stopped, push and hold foot control left again. Foot Control /Touchpad Control/Chair Base Control chair can be controlled using the deluxe foot control, the doctor s or assistant s touchpad, or an optional panel mounted remote touchpad. * Trademark of Velcro Industries B.V. Pivoting Armrests and Surgical IV Armrest Options The Pro-comfort 90-degree pivoting armrests (ada wheelchair compliant) simplify entry/exit. The sturdy Surgical IV armrest (with Velcro* straps) immobilizes patient arm during intravenous sedation. armrests are manufactured with the same upholstery color as selected for chair. Automatic Toeboard Lift and Kneebreak Legrest Option The toeboard lifts as the chairback is lowered. When equipped with kneebreak legrest, the chair legrest automatically folds down to simplify patient entry and exit, and facilitate face-toface consultation. The fold-down legrest movement is also synchronized with the backrest for patient comfort. (automatic legrest on compact e models can only be used when chair is swiveled 90-degrees or it must be locked in the up position.) Double Articulating Headrest Simple compression locking bar allows maximum positioning flexibility for patient comfort and operator access to the oral cavity. Head cushion rotates 180 to accommodate taller patients. Frost white etched glass cuspidor bowl The instrument flushing holder is located under the cuspidor bowl. The holder can be removed for autoclaving or disinfection. Water Tank/Reservoir can be used as a clean water supply or bypassed to use your municipal water supply. Cuspidor and Cup Filler Option The cuspidor and cup filler component is out of the way of the patient until it is rotated out for patient use. The cup filler is controlled by the touchpad, the optional assistant s touchpad or the deluxe foot control. The system is programmed to automatically fill the cup and stop, then rinse the bowl. cup filling and bowl flushing can also be controlled independently and the water flow and duration is completely programmable. note: On a models, the cup filler and bowl rinse are controlled independently using the touchpad. Cuspidor Options The glass cuspidor bowl comes in blue or frost white and is removable for cleaning. In the bottom of the bowl is a solids collector filter which is emptied daily. The flush tube on the side of the cup filler rinses waste into the drain. Note: The cuspidor comes with a gravity drain. The wet vacuum suction system must be ordered if choosing assistant s instrumentation option. Cup Filler although controlled by the touchpad or deluxe foot control, a sensor assures that the cup filler will not operate until a glass is placed under the fill tube. Water Tank/Clean Water Reservoir all models include a water bottle (reservoir) which can be used for clean water or bypassed to utilize the main water supply (city water). Instrument Purging System an instrument purging/water line flushing system is standard on all compact models. The instrument flushing holder is located under the cuspidor bowl and is used to connect the instrument tubings directly to the drain. Instrument Flushing Holder To access the instrument flushing holder, swing the cuspidor bowl toward the patient chair and remove the flushing holder cover. The instrument flushing holder can be removed for disinfection or autoclaving. Note: On units ordered without the cuspidor, the holder cover is simply removed to access the instrument flushing holder. Instrument Hose Flushing after instruments are removed from their hoses (tubings), the handpiece end of the hose is connected to the instrument flushing holder for hands-free flushing/purging of the water and air tubings. Note: The instrument hoses can be flushed independently or at the same time as the suction system (optional) is being cleaned

The compact s wet-vacuum system includes an amalgam separator with filter and an automatic vacuum shutoff mechanism that is activated by sensors in the instrument holder. When the high volume evacuation or saliva ejector hose is removed from the holder, the vacuum is automatically activated. Assistant s Control Panel with Touchpad like the doctor s touchpad, the washable and disinfectable assistant s instrument control touchpad provides programming for chair positioning, cuspidor flushing, turning on the cup filler, handpiece adjustment and controlling the optional operatory light. It s equipped with a syringe, HVe (high volume evacuator) and saliva ejector. a second HVe and hose and led curing light (page 9) can be added. note: On models with optional PLUS Package, the assistant s touchpad (like the doctor s touchpad) also includes extended custom programming for up to 6 users and adds command functions for electric handpiece speed (rpm) control, instrument power/speed limitations and programming, as well as 6 programmable timers and advanced spray functions. Assistant s Instrument Holder (No Touchpad Control) The instrument holder is equipped with a syringe, HVe (high volume evacuator) and saliva ejector. a second HVe and hose and led curing light can be added. Choose from 3 types of Vacuum Arms The assistant s instrumentation (control panel/instrument holder) on the compact Unit is available in three arm styles depending on the model. Adjustable Vacuum Arm (eurostyle positioning) The adjustable vacuum arm is mounted to the bottom of the unit s pedestal and can be raised up and down and swiveled as needed. Not available on e Model (Chair-mounted). Adjustable Left/Right Vacuum Arm mounted to the bottom of the pedestal, the adjustable left/right vacuum arm is mounted to the bottom of the unit s pedestal, can be raised up and down, swiveled, and telescoped out to be positioned on the opposite side of the chair. Not available on s or e Models. Chair-Mounted Left/Right Vacuum Arm This vacuum arm is mounted underneath the chair at the seat of the frame and can be swiveled as needed to the left or right side and moves up and down with the chair. Not available on a Model. Chair-mounted left/right vacuum arm with assistant s instrument holder (no touchpad) is only available on e Model. Optional Suction Tube Cleaning System When the vacuum tubings are connected to the suction tube cleaning system (located on the side of the pedestal), the system automatically meters the disinfectant solution to fill the vacuum tubings for a 2 minute exposue for a thorough, more effective cleaning. The system is simple to use and provides the effective solution dose and exposure automatically

The light can also be controlled with doctor and/assistant touchpads. easy access, multi-function switch turns light on and allows infinite intensity adjustment. Press switch to turn on light; then press and hold to adjust the brightness. The specially faceted and coated parabolic reflector filters heat away from patient and creates ideal light field. an optional, adjustable patient mirror is available that mounts to the left or right side of the operatory light. note: The Delight Operatory light can be mounted on all compact models. a ceiling mount is also available. Planmeca SingLED Operatory Light With a patented faceted reflector and single light emitting Diode (led) construction, the Planmeca SingleD operating light provides perfect and uniform illumination of the treatment area.
