6 Technologies Behind SparTube II is designed by LeuchTek. It is tested and certificated by German institute. Inside of the slim SparTube body, there are many patented technologies and innovative ideas. Electronic ballast is integrated inside of the tubes. The traditional magnetic ballast has been replaced by a high efficient electronic ballast. It is further miniaturized and integrated in the tube s body. Thus, the SparTube works without external ballast and it can save a lot of energy. Optimized structure to reach better performance and flexibility The mini electronic ballast is fixed together with aluminium housing to get best heat dissipation performance and prolong the lifetime of the ballast. The enlarged available space permits the usage of best quality T5 tubes with standard size. Tube-in-tube technology SparTube consists of two tubes, the outer is a polycarbonat tube and the inner is a fluorescent tube. This structure builts one air layer between two tubes and this air layer keeps a constant temperature for the inner tube. It prolongs the lifetime of the inner tube. Further, it decreases the surface temperature of the outer tube. Thus SparTube issues less heat and lightens the load of the air-condition in summer time to save more energy. Without PC cover With PC cover Removable and replacable PC cover, tube and ballast The outer polycarbonat cover can be kept for applications that require the protection of the glass tube, e.g. food industry application. In other cases the polycarbonat can be removed to get maximum lightout for other general applications. In case of malfuncation, the T5 tube and inner electronic ballast can be easily replaced. Thus the maintenance and service can be done quickly. Reflector inside A fluorescent tube issues light to all directions and some of it is wasted. In SparTube, an aluminium reflector has been integrated inside and this reflector can save part of the wasted light. No flicker, quick start, no annoying humming sound The light of the traditional fluorescent and magnetic ballasts flickers following the low 50 Hz frequency and it always takes a moment until they turn on. The SparTube works with very high frequency thus people will no long feel the flicker and hear the annoying humming sound.
