3 System Door Type Select your Door Type 3

4 System General If CE selected: all mandatory safety items will be selected. IF CE is not selected: door can be configurated with or without safety devices. 4

5 Operation Automatic control: chose this option if the door will be operated, automatic closing or with a remote control. A safety system on the main closing edge (bottom seal) is required. Hold to Run operation. A safety system on the main closing edge (bottom seal) is not required, all bottom seals are applicable. 5

6 Panel Blade Panels and Windows Select panel. Value can be overwritten when other bottom seal is used. Height and width of the doorblade including alu. Profiles, bottom seals, endcaps Drag the shape of the desired window on the door blade (max 1 window per linear meter). The type of window can be selected on the next page. Select panel section heights. Cut top panel to indicated height. 6

8 Panel Blade Profiles and Hardware Select bottom seal; selection is depending of the type of Operation. Select bottom corner bracket or cable break device; Depending of Width and Weight of the door blade, selection is limited, more information see manuals Strengthening profiles are automatically selected for a minimum Class 2 wind-load door (Door width >5001mm) if the CE box is checked. EXTRA profiles or more rigid profiles can be selected, also for doors <5001mm. The door weight will be calculated automatically, but can be overwriten if necessary. 8

9 Spring Calculation Spring calculation: based on Shot-blasted Springs Optimal calculation: The most economical spring calculation; dimension of springs could differ from each other. Equal calculation: all springs have the same dimensions. Select cable drum: The first shown drum is the most economical drum. The Bottom section weight is calculated automatically and is based on the general input. Only for Standard Lift value can be entered for optimal calculation. DO NOT Overwrite the door-weight in this section, do this on the door blade page 9

10 Spring Calculation Spring Solution; If this field is not visible after cable drum selection, you need to play with the life time and/or springs. Spring Filler is optional. Advised if the spring is longer than 1000 mm. 10

11 Power-Unit configuration Shaft selection: Depending of door width and door weight. The selection is limited. Selection depends op selected drum and springs. First shown End Bearing Plate is the most economical solution. If CE box is checked, the Spring Break Device is always selected. Select only if extra bearing plates are required. 11

12 Power-Unit configuration Choose coupler Choose parallel key Selection of Cables: Depending of door weight and cable drum, selection is limited. First shown cable is the most economical solution. 12

13 Options: Hand / Rope Operation For manual / rope operated doors, the short spring bumper is advised. Door Suspension set: Use the mouse pointer to see the content of the Set. Each set covers material to build a left and right suspension support. For 2 suspension supports, selected 1x For 4 suspension supports, selected 2x For 6 suspension supports, selected 3x Only selectable if CE box is not checked. 13

14 Options: Chain Hoist Operation For Chain Hoist operated doors, the long spring bumper is advised. Chain Tensioner: keeps the chain tension stable and prevents the chain hitting persons/ obstacles. If the position of the centerline from the shaft is higher than 5 m, extra chain is needed. Select 2 m chain per meter that the centerline of the shaft is higher than 5 m. 14

16 Options: Automatic Operation Selection of Sommer Electrical drives: Hand Crank or Chain Connection Cable Set between Operator and Control Unit GIGA Control unit, R2 OSE, main closing edge protection system, Optical System, connection to control unit. 16

17 Options: Electrical General Options Hand chain for a Electrical operator with emergency Hand Chain. Chain Link Connector and Extra Chain are selectable If CE box is checked, E-switch is input driven. Dead man operation: optional. Automatic operation: input driven.
