2 Page 2 of APPLICATION: LAYER STYLE: Possible to only do: MONO-LAYER Tablet Compression DESCRIPTION OF EQUIPMENT: The LX is a mono-layer rotary tablet press with one pair of pressure rollers for pre-pressure and one pair for main-pressure. It is designed for high speed operation. The punch guide has a continuous track for the upper punch and an easily replaceable lower track, with overlapping fill areas and automatically adjustable crossovers between the sections of lower track. Lower punch movement is monitored by a check rail. A hydraulic/electrically controlled circuit reduces the fill during the start-up and slow-down phases of the die table. Easily detachable panels provide easy access to the area under the die table. The height of the upper and lower pressure roller can be adjusted independently. Their initial tension is derived from the main pressure and is automatically adjusted. The oversize main pressure rollers run on the bearings. Both rollers cut out if subjected to excess pressure and transmit a cut-off signal. The pre-pressure is adjusted hydraulically. The height of the lower pressure is pre-set to give the tablet thickness. By simultaneously adjusting the upper and lower pressure rollers, the position of the tablet in the die can be raised and lowered. The die table is driven via a central shaft from a dust/oil tight gearbox box in the base of the machine. A variable gear provides infinite speed adjustment at ratio of 1:6, the adjustment drive and worm gearing are linked by toothed belt and an electromagnetic clutch. 1.9.POSSIBLE MODES OF : PUNCH AND DIE TOOLING TYPE: Standard B (EU19) type Tooling Only
