1 I These instructions are for the installation and use of the First Strike fishing rod racks. After reading this manual, keep it in a safe place for future reference. lf you have any questions regarding the information in this manual, please contact the service center listed at the end. enecnurons - lf the fishing rod contacts any part of your body or interferes with driving, reposition rack or adjust seat position. - When loading rods, safely secure or remove fishhooks and other tackles that may interfere with the safety of driving. - This rack is designed for canying fishing rods only. - Do not leave rods in rack for e)dended periods. Excessive heat and UV rays in a closed vehicle may damage rods. - Depending on vehicle, your rear view may become partially obstructed. Use extra caution when backing up. - Before driving, check for any looseness in the rack. Retighten any loose knobs and screws. - Maximum loading capacity is 15lbs.(7kg). - The product is fixed to window with doublejaced adhesive tape. The fore and aft universal mounts must be at an interval of at least 30cm (12').? lacaurton I Cannot be affixed if there is film on the window. Avoid areas with built-in antennas when affixing. Backing paper (red) Affix the universal mount. Do not separate the mount ASSY (assembly). Peel off the backing paper with the assembly in place, and affix to the location determined in step 1. Perform this step on both windows. Loosen the knobs and remove the spacer so that only the base plates remain on the window. After removing, press the base plates firmly in four locations as shown. eirlo=rel Inspect,from the outside of the vehicle to ensure that they are firmly affixed. Pass the assist pipe removed in step 3 through the assist frame, and place the caps in place. ASSIST PIPE CAP ASSIST FRAME Attach knobs to the base plates that were already affixed to the window.

3 Raise the side bar as high as possible, position the adjuster in the center so that it is horizontal, and loosely screw on screws A., 8., C., and D. Change direction if it will not fit under the side bar IEN-otFl lf the adjuster will not fit beneath the side bar, remove it, change its direction, and loosely tighten screw rubber band to rear holder as shown. CROSS HOLDER Slide two cross holders onto each frame bar, facing the same direction. lacaurlonl Position the side that has the widening hole outside. Place the cushioned side of the frame tube upwards, and lock onto the frame bar using Phillip's head screws (gold). lffi-orel Although there are no screw holes in the plastic portion, penetrate through so that it is perpendicular to the frame bar.

4 Lock the front and rear holders in place using hooks and knobs. Mount so that both holders are below the cushioned surface. Enabling the front holder to open to the left and the rear holder to open to the right makes it easier to mount and remove rods. ED rrrountlnc THE FRAME Fully loosen knob on the cross-holder, and slide down A. Adjust B on the cross holder so it's at the same level as the side bar, then gently press B into the groove as shown in picture below. Cross section of side bar Adjust the height of the sidebar using the adjuster, and tighten screwsa, B, C, and D. Make sure that the rod tip is not pressed excessively againsthe roof, AC vent or the like, and that the grip of fishing rod is not touching the tailgate.

5 @ When adjusting the position of the front and rear holders, loosen the holder-mounting knobs, slide the holder, and then adjust. lf the entire frame needs to be moved forward or backward, remove the frame, slide the cross holders, and adjust. etace on side-bar covers. -The rod tips are easily breakable, so please handle with care. -Do not place any additional pressure in the bar or any part of the producto prevent damage to windows.ln exterme cases windows may break. lf reels are in contact with one another, stow the reels alternating in front and back of the cnnr Wipe clean with a damp soft cloth, and dry well in sunlight. Avoid using the items below, as they could cause the producto become discolored or cracked. Dont use cleansers (particularly alkaline cleansers), wax, paint thinner or similar solvents, or preoiled screws or bolts Genuine replacement parts are available for this rack. Order them from the store where you purchased your rack.
