2 2/8 USHJ630 PEM1150ENG GENERAL INFORMAT ION - Check that the kit is suitable for the cable type. - Check the materials listed in the bill of materials for completeness. - Read the installation instructions carefully before starting the installation. - Install carefully and make sure the materials are clean during the installation. - Clean the working place after the installation. 3 PEM1150ENG USHJ630 3/8 Installation Cut the cables to the corresponding length, leave enough length for the copper shield wires connection down to the earthing busbar. Clean the cable sheath for approx. 1 m length Remove the cable outer sheath for the dimension of approx. 500 mm. Mark the position of the switch gear bushing on the core, the core cutting point will be 210 mm from the cable outer sheath. Check the length of the copper shield wires, leave enough wire length for down to the earthing busbar. Adjust the position of the core according to the position of the bushing Fold back the shield wires down to the outer sheath and fix them evenly Fix the shield wires on the outer sheath with the tinned copper wire approx. 60 mm from the end of the outer sheath. Cut the core 210 mm from the end of the outer sheath.

4 4/8 USHJ630 PEM1150ENG Remove the semi-conductive layer leaving 25 mm measured from the outer sheath. If necessary, remove any remainings of the semi-conductive layer with a piece of glass. X Remove the insulation for dimension X see the cable lug manufacturer s instructions. Protect the end of the conductor with PVC tape Lubricate the inside of the stress control adaptor and also over the cable insulation with the mounting silicone. Slip on the stress control adaptor up to the outer sheath, the adaptor comes 25 mm on the semi-conductive layer.

5 PEM1150ENG USHJ630 5/8 8. Remove the PVC-tape from the conductor. Check the right angle of the cable lug with bushing before the installation of cable lug. Install the lug according to manufacturer s instructions. When using shear head bolt cable lugs, the bolt remainings shall not be higher than the lug body, otherwise sharp edges can damage inner surface of the T-body. 9. Wrap PVC-tape to the down on the stress control adaptor so that it keeps the adaptor in the right position during the installation of the T-body. 10. Lubricate the surface of stress control adaptor and the inside of the connector body with mounting silicone. Check the right angle of the lug. Push the T-body with quick and sharp press so that the cable lug sets up in the T-body. NOTE! Avoid slow pushing, because connector body is not slip on to the right position with slow moving movement. 11. Check the stress control adaptor position. 12. Install the clamping bolt M16 to the bolted type connector. 13. Tighten the clamping bolt to 30 Nm 14. Lubricate the bushing and inside of the T-body with mounting silicone. 15. Push the T-body and the cable lug through the bolt. 16. Set first a flat washer and then a spring washer into the end of the bolt. Tighten the nut to the bolt, tightening torque 30 Nm. 17. Clean the conical back cap, lubricate it with mounting silicone. 18. Set back cap into the T-body, tighten it to 30 Nm. 19. Insert the cover cap onto the back cap. 20. Install the earthing conductor onto the surface of the T-body (eye) with screw. Compress the 2.5 mm² cable lug to the earthing conductor. 21. Install the LV cable lug on the cable shield wires.
