2 TransGo steel valve with lengthened lands 6L80 pressure regulator valve shown Original aluminum OEM valve TransGo offers a number of innovative drop-in valve fixes to increase support to restore proper valve function in worn bores. Our improved design is a long-term quality upgrade. TransGo redesigned inboard and outboard valve lands ride in the untouched portion of the bore, renewing circuit integrity without the expensive and time consuming reaming process. (note the OEM valve lands compared to TransGo). Valves designed with elongated front and rear lands are better supported in the bore, translating to smoother valve travel making it all but impossible for the valve to cock in the bore causing further wear. TransGo replaces the original anodized aluminum valves with precision-ground US-made steel. The reason OEMs use anodized aluminum valves are predominantly driven by cost and weight factors to comply with federal CAFÉ requirements. Many root cause failures are due to the anodized coating flaking off the valve lands. Once this occurs, the valve begins to hang in the bore and the bore is now compromised. TransGo USA steel valves can not delaminate, providing a long term quality upgrade. 3 INDEX INSTALLATION Trans Removal Not Required The complete kit can be installed with the transmission in the vehicle. Trans Removal Required Transmission must be removed to install the kit correctly. Trans Removal Optional Shift feel modification/components can be installed with the transmission in the vehicle. Optional Internal Parts Included If you choose to install the supplied internal transmission upgrade components, transmission removal is required. Optional Internal Parts Included Designates the optional internal part upgrade requiring transmission removal. Reaming Required The bore must be reamed to install the new kit components. The kit that states WITH TOOLS will include all of the necessary tooling. The kit that states NO TOOLS is just the refill valve kit. FEATURES Gear Command This feature allows full control of downshifting and will hold any gear to any RPM. Retains automatic upshifts in the drive position. Certain units allow manual upshifts on driver command. MANUAL SHIFT CONTROL Manual Shift Control This feature fully converts the valve body to manual/stick shift operation only no automatic shifts. Tow/Haul Product is designed for use in hard working vehicles that tow or haul heavy loads. Performance Product is intended for high performance vehicles.
