2 CRSM-CT-M Single Core Branch Joint up to 300mm2 NEW We are pleased to announce the release of the new generation Raychem low voltage single core XLPE/ PVC branch joints; The CRSM-CT-M. This re-designed range now offers solutions for cable sizes mm² (main) and 16-35mm2 (service). This will not phase out the existing CRSM-CT non mechanical kits but simply give a mechanical option. The new concept is based on the tried and proven CRSM-CT kits which use heat shrink technology to branch a single core service cable from a single core main cable. The service cable is then run into a pillar or TUD to feed a house or other residence, we have simply included a UBR mechanical range taking connector and a BOCL clip with additional mastic for sealing the joint. The UBR connector with single or double service tap ensures a reliable branch connection for a single core service cable from a single core main cable. A branch off clip is provided to assist with the environmental seal between the cables and a wraparound sleeve with thermo-sensitive paint is provided for environmental and mechanical protection of the entire joint. GelPorts use Raychem PowerGel to seal cable entry ports. A sealing gel specifically developed for the electrical power industry, it is hydrophobic and provides an excellent moisture seal over a wide operating temperature range (-40 0 C to 95 0 C). Up until recently the GelPort has been able to accommodate cables from 6-150mm2 and mm2, it can now accommodate cables up to 300mm2.
