Maintenance and Care 6.8.3 Adjusting the Blades Angle Adjustment The angle adjustment is the decisive factr in ensuring that the squeegee blades n the squeegee lie evenly n the flr. 1. Park the machine n a level surface and lwer the squeegee. 2. Lsen the cunternut n the adjusting screw (Fig. 10/3) and adjust the squeegee using the adjusting screw s that the ends f the squeegee blades have cntact with the flr. Figure A Turn the adjusting screw cunterclckwise: The clearance between squeegee blade and flr is reduced in the center. Figure B Turn the screw clckwise: The clearance between squeegee blade and flr is increased in the center. 3. Switch the machine n and check the suctin pattern. When the machine is perating, the entire surface f the squeegee blades (center and uter areas) must be applied as evenly as pssible. 4. Tighten the cunternut n the adjusting screw at 5 lb ft. A B Fig.11 36

Maintenance and Care Height Adjustment The height adjustment is set t 3 mm at the factry. If streaks are prduced, despite an ptimum angle adjustment, the clearance between the casters and flr must be adjusted by changing the number f washers n the hlder. In cases f very smth flrs, e.g. finished flrs, PVC, linleum, etc. Number f washers = 2. This crrespnds t a clearance f apprx. 2 mm. 3 mm 2 mm 4 mm In cases f very uneven flrs, e.g. prly laid tiles (water des nt run ff) Number f washers = 4. This crrespnds t a clearance f apprx. 4 mm. The Squeegee 110 cm (7569) is equipped with tw additinal rllers which are adjusted at the factry t a distance f 10 mm t the flr by means f spacers. Fig.12 37
