( DIRECTED ) promises to the original purchaser, to repair or replace with a comparable reconditioned piece, the security or remote start accessory piece (hereinafter the Part ), which proves to be defective in workmanship or material under normal use, provided the following conditions are met: the Part was purchased from an authorized DIRECTED dealer; and the Part is returned to DIRECTED, postage prepaid, along with a clear, legible copy of the receipt or bill of sale bearing the following information: consumer s name, address, telephone number, the authorized licensed dealer s name and complete product and Part description. Then connect the XKD2D65 wire into the CANMAX400, and connect the XKD2D65 to bootloader. USB Port USB Connector XKLOADER XKD2D65 4 Pin D2D Flash Vehicle Interface Kit To Flash Vehicle Interface Kit you must use Vehicle Interface Program - Xpress VIP. Alarm module INSTALLATION GUIDE 1 3 If applicable, insert the XPRESSKEY in the bypass module. 2 4 Page 5 to 12 Installation procedures Please Note: Failure to proceed in the following order could result in possible vehicle damage. 20 PIN Wiring Connect 20 pin to module Connect wires to the vehicle according to the installation type. Refer to the vehicle application chart on page 3 for details. XPRESSKEY Powerup the CANMAX 5 a) If connected Without D2D b) Connect the 20 pin harness to the module. Connect the remote starter to the vehicle. If connected in D2D mode only Caution: 20 pin connector can be easily plugged in backwards. Connect the system to the vehicle according to its instruction. Connect 12 PIN harness. Connect 4 PIN harness. If the module is use without D2D (Data to Data), connect the 12 & 4 PIN harness to the Alarm Module. Go to the 12 & 4 PIN harness installation page for details. Connect 4 PIN D2D harness. Jumper position Jumper Make sure both jumpers of the Responder LE/LC3 are in the horizontal position to operate. Once done, the bypass red LED will turn ON. Once done, the bypass red LED will turn ON. 6 Before programming Press LOCK and UNLOCK from OEM Remote 7 KEY Module programming OFF IGN ON Turn ignition On for a few seconds. 8 Ready to use Green LED will turn ON 3 seconds and then turn OFF. *If the module has never been programmed, the LED will come ON red, then change to Green when programmed. If the module is already programmed, the LED will come ON Green 3 sec and shut off. For features & options programming, please go to pages 11-12.

Feature programming for installation type A,B & C Page 11 to 12 To enter feature programming routine - Turn the ignition ON, then OFF. - Within 5 sec, press and HOLD the integrated programming button (IPB).The orange LED turns ON after 3 seconds. Release the IPB. - The green LED starts flashing slowly one time to indicate the feature number is 1. After a short delay, the red LED flashes rapidly one time to indicate the current option of feature 1. It repeats until next action happens. Accessing another feature - Press and release the IPB a number of times to advance from the current feature to the next desired feature. - The green LED flashes slowly the number of times equal to the feature number. After a short delay, the red LED flashes rapidly one time to indicate the current option of the current feature. It repeats until next action happens. Changing feature options - Press the lock or unlock button on OEM transmitter to change the option of the selected feature. - The red LED flashes rapidly the number of times equal to the current option number. After a short delay, the green LED flashes slowly the number of times to indicate the current feature. It repeats until next action happens. When the maximum number of feature or option is reached, the will LED starts flashing again from the first feature or option. Once a feature is programmed - Another feature(s) can be programmed. - The feature programming can be exited. Integrated Programming Button (IPB) Exiting feature programming with saving changes - Turn ignition ON until the Orange LED will turn ON for 2 seconds to indicate correct exit with saving changes. - Press and HOLD the IPB for 3 seconds. After 3 seconds, the Orange LED will turn ON for 2 seconds to indicate correct exit with saving changes. Exiting feature programming without saving changes - No activity for 30 seconds; after 30 seconds, the Red LED will turn ON for 2 seconds to indicate exit without saving changes. Reset Module
