Bidding Instructions 1. Return one copy of the bid document showing; specification compliance, unit bid and total bid, as requested. 2. Complete descriptive literature must be furnished with bid. 3. All prices will remain in effect in the event additional orders are placed prior to actual shipment of bid items. 4. Bid must be valid for a period of 45 days from the time of the bid opening. 5. Bids are due November 3 rd, 2016, by 10:00am and will be opened at that time at the Transportation Building conference room. 6. Delivery on all buses must be on or before July 15 th, 2018. Invoice for buses must be dated after July 1 st, 2018. A penalty of $100.00 per day will be withheld from payment for each bus that is delivered after 3:00 pm on July 15 th, 2018. Delivery will be determined final only when the delivered buses are capable of passing a pre-use inspection as indicated by the Iowa Department of Education form TR-F-27B. Submittal of a bid will imply acceptance of this stipulation. 7. The district retains the right to determine what buses from the list of trade in s, if any, will be traded. This determination will be made known to the successful bidder prior to delivery of the new buses. 8. Bid may conditionally be awarded. The District will consider the past performance/quality of the bidder and their product and reserves the right to examine the product of the bidder prior to making any final bid award. Bid awards may be made for a total of all vehicles bid or separated as any part thereof. Any company that desires not to bid at this time and wishes to remain on the school district mailing list should notify the Director of Transportation to this effect. Otherwise, any company not submitting a bid may be removed from the mailing list for the types of items on this bid.
