2 Steve Burrows started as a sole trader in 2002 with one 8x4 grab lorry, over the years Steve grew the company to the extent it is today. Blockade now operates two quarries, an inert recycling close to Gatwick Airport and a restoration facility with its own rail head. From these facilities we produce our own primary and recycled aggregates as well as covering our own landfill requirements. Blockade Services is now one of the largest tipper and quarrying operators south of the M25. We are moving from strength to strength investing in several new Lorries and plant equipment, giving our clients the confidence that the products and services we provide are second to none. 3 TIPPER HIRE We supply 8 wheeled tippers for removing or delivering materials from your site. All of our tippers are euro 5/6 vehicle CAD are fully FORS compliant. All drivers are experienced in their field and all hold CSCS cards. All our vehicles are also tracked and radio controlled. Our STGO Cat 2 low loader can carry up to 54 tonnes, providing an efficient service of transporting heavy, wide and abnormal loads across the UK. Our time can organise Police and highways notifications and we also have our own vehicles for escorting wide loads. Our experienced and competent drivers are fully conversant with the handling of heavy plant equipment. Our extendable bed trailers enable us to move multiple machines in the same journey, providing you, the customer with huge savings. Our vehicle is satellite tracked and can be contacted at any time by mobile phone or PC. This system also tracks the speed in which the vehicle is traveling and its estimated time of arrival. All demolition and site clearance is carried out using our own plant and operators. All materials generated are recycled where possible. 9 Highway Works A large part of our business is servicing the highways infrastructure work, we supply up to 20 tipper Lorries per night. Planning, as well as having worked on many large road infrastructure projects including; M25 J 6-2 and A21 Pembury bypass. For this we supplied screening and crushing plant to remove, also process material on site for infrastructure. Our main customer being Balfour Beaty. We have yards at Junction 6 on the M25 with 24 hour access and the capacity to store thousands of tonnes of plainings ready for recycling. All of our vehicles are fitted with reversing cameras, easy sheets, chevrons, front and rear xenon s. All our drivers are CSCS card holders.
