2 MINING AND CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY ABOUT company The DAVON company has been a purely Czech private company since its establishment in The company has been concerned with the development and manufacture of its own special products intended for the mining industry and construction. At first there was developed a line of hydraulic grabs for construction machinery and cranes, and then a large line of stationary breaker boom systems of the RK type, which have become the main export article of the company. In the course of the company s existence, several special single-purpose construction machines have been produced according to special customer requirements. In 2001, the company moved to a newly built administrative and production plant of its own, which covers over m 2 and is situated in the Unicov industrial park. When developing its own products, the latest hardware as well as software is employed, which is maintained at the necessary level. Nowadays, the entire running of the company is controlled by a uniform information system, implemented from pre-production stages up to dispatch and follow-up warranty and postwarranty servicing. The chief aim of the company is to provide comprehensive services aiming to satisfy our customers needs. CERTIFIED PRODUCTION For this purpose, the company implemented its own quality management system in 2003 within its activities, including the field of development. The system was audited and acknowledged by the NQA accredited body to January 15, 2004 in compliance with the EN ISO 9001 standard, and is continually maintained. The company also received in 2012 a Certificate for parts welding, which certifies that the organization for welded machine parts puts into practice and uses a welding process which conforms to EN ISO DAVON s.r.o. 3 GRABS Clamshell grabs HCD, HCDK, HCU Standard grabs for hydraulic excavators. This is well-proven equipment for the excavation and manipulation of loose or settled material (earth, gravel, sand, etc.) Each series contains the basic part of the grab with quickly replaceable clamshells of different shapes and volumes. Possibility of supply with hydraulic slewing, fixed hinge, teeth, swivel brake, extensions, etc. This series of clamshell grabs is useful for excavators with an operating weight from 5 to 40 tons, with the lifting capacity of grabs from 4 to 10 tons. HCD - hydraulic clamshell grabs with rectangular jaws HCDK - hydraulic clamshell grabs with round jaws HCU - hydraulic universal clamshell grabs HCD 10 I HCD 11 I HCD 12 I HCD 13 I HCD 14 I HCD 17 I HCD 18 I HCD 20 I HCDK 13 I HCDK 17 I HCU 15 Orange peel grabs HPD The robust design makes it suitable for the handling of rough scrap metal and for conditions in scrap yards, waste sites or in quarries. The independently driven separate jaws and high-quality hydraulic rotator ensure any shaped load can be handled. Possibility of supply with hydraulic swivelling (standard), with mechanical swivelling or with a fixed hinge. It uses new hydraulic cylinders developed especially for grab operation. Possibility of grab protection using different kinds of covers according to operating conditions. According to the handled material, it is possible to use grabs with open tongs, semi-closed tongs or closed tongs. 4 Timber grabs HDS Use of these grab types substantially increases economy of operation while reloading timber in woodworking plants. The excavator operator is able to reload, sort and discharge any kind of wood without supplementary devices. Possibility of supply with hydraulic swivelling (standard), with mechanical swivelling or with fixed hinge. Possibility of grab protection with different kinds of covers according to operating conditions. The hinge can be equipped with a swivel brake. This series of Timber grabs is useful for excavators with an operating weight from 10 to 30 tons, with a lifting capacity of grabs up to 5 tons. HDS 03 I HDS 04 I HDK 01 HDS - hydraulic timber grabs Motor clamshell grabs MCD The motorized clamshell grab type MCD is a universal handler for loose materials. It is designed for operation on a rope hinge on a bridge crane or on a similar lifting machine. It is made up of a supporting part, separately hung hydraulic unit inside the supporting part (which is simple to dismantle) and its owns jaws. The grab s construction enables the use of different size jaws, as well as timber grabs. MCD MCD - motor clamshell grabs Motor orange peel grabs MPD The motorized polyp grab type MPD is universal reloading equipment of materials. The design of the jaws ensures closing of any form of material (from loose material up to large parts). The jaws are designed as open, semi-closed and closed. This motorized polyp grab is designed for use on a rope hinge on a portal crane or on similar lifting equipment. It is made up of a supporting part, separately hinged hydraulic unit inside the supporting part (disassembly is easy) and its owns jaws. MPD MPD - motor orange peel grabs Motor timber grabs MDD The motorized timber grab type MDD is universal reloading equipment. It is designed for handling timber and also long nests of softwood, hardwood, coniferous and leafy wood. MDD MDD - motor hydraulic timber grabs The manufacturer reserves the right to change these parameters.
