Recently seen in the focus on asbestos and its lethal hazards, the HSE and other influential bodies are focussing on the control of dust. Suppression applied correctly can prevent dust from being blown from the ground or machinery causing the dangers. HOW IT WORKS THE DANGERS OF Combustible dust (e.g. coal or wood) poses an explosion hazard. Airborne dust is fine particles that cause dust lung, a chronic respiratory illness leading to severe health damage and ultimately death. Dense dust emissions (dust clouds) reduce visibility and endanger traffic and working safety. It is important that the water is used and nebulized between micron so the water particles can easily combine themselves with the dust particles to increase its weight and bring to ground level. The nebulized water particles at the similar weight to dust will travel in the air the same. It s important that we create the correct mist to clear the dust and not use ineffective methods that will also waste water. Traditional method with industrial sprinklers and fire hoses causes water to bypass dust particles. Our nebulizing technology captures the dust particles.

The two most popular agents from our large range are listed below. Ferrosolf 9918 is specifically designed to create a polymeric layer on bulk materials such as coal, coke, ores, sulphur, sludge, earth, sand, fertilizers, solid waste etc. in order to prevent dust losses and emissions in industrial warehouses and open storage areas, especially in windy and dry areas. The surface of the treated material is solidified and dust emissions are dramatically reduced both in discontinuous surface crusting and continuous dust binding ( knock down ) applications. Ferrosolf 9918 can also be applied to open roads to reduce dust emissions and to material being transported in open wagons (e.g. material transports over long distances).
