4 2 Cargotrail kits Overview of Cargotrail kits Kits with aluminium floor frames The Cargotrail aluminium floor frame is a weight-saving kit for the light to medium weight class of 7.49 to 12 tons permissible gross weight. The kit can be supplied optionally with pillars and side board systems as a platform body or as a lightweight curtainsider body and also as PWP aluminium trailer kit. Alternatively, the floor group is also available individually, e.g. for box bodies. Subframe with clamped crossmembers spaced at maximum 560 mm. Floor frame profile with integrated PWP lashing rings, 2000 dan, for different floor thicknesses up to 30 mm, connected by steel frame corners. Supply of the floor frame in individual parts, including screws and assembly materials. Aluminium parts self coloured or anodised or all parts optionally powder coated in RAL colours. The Cargotrail aluminium floor frame in conjunction with the PWP aluminium trailer kit has been certified in accordance with DIN EN Code XL Appendix A in the maximum body length of 7435 mm, body height 3000 mm and load capacity 11.5 tons. 5 3 Kits with steel floor frames The Cargotrail SSP1 and SSP2 series steel floor assemblies offer you and your customers variability in all areas. Their scope of potential covers all chassis frame widths, all wheelbases and body lengths for chassis from 7.49 to 26 tons permissible gross weight. The kit based on the SSP1 can be supplied optionally with pillars and side board systems, as a platform and as a curtainsider body in the steel version with the new Suer Varia CS or the PWP aluminium trailer Kit. Alternatively, the floor group is also available individually, e.g. for box bodies. New: the SSP2 series which is only supplied as a building materials dropside. Subframe with freely positionable, screwed crossmembers on a 25 mm raster. Floor frame profile with locators for lashing rings 2000 dan spaced at 250 mm (series SSP1) or with integrated lashing eyes for floor thicknesses up to 27 mm (series SSP2). Supply of the floor frame in individual parts, including screws and assembly materials. All components of the Cargotrail steel floor group are zinc galvanised. Both series of the Cargotrail steel floor frame have been certified in different body variants to DIN EN Code XL, Appendix A and B. An overview of the certified bodies can be found from Page 13. Options: As a platform kit without corner pillars for chassis up to 7.49 tons gross weight or with fixed corner pillars for chassis up to 12 tons permissible gross weight. Overall height of subframe and crossmembers, without floor, 190 ( 7.49 tons gross weight) or 210 mm. Floor thickness 18 (21), 24 (27) or 30 mm. Pre-finished aluminium side boards, height from 400 to 1000 mm. Front corner pillar height 2850 mm from top edge of floor, during assembly these can be used, for example, for building a roof frame, or shortened. Centre pillar. Aluminium parts can be supplied in self colour or anodised (in which case the steel parts are supplied unchanged as KTL coated), all parts optionally powder coated in RAL colour. Side corner pillars with connection for cant rail and for PWP crossbar Contact 80 at rear. The internal clear length of the body is limited by the top to 4600 mm without, or 7100 mm with centre pillar. Side loading height to underside of the cant rail 2850 mm. 8 6 Cargotrail aluminium floor frame with PWP aluminium trailer kit No class difference The well-known PWP aluminium trailer kit with its many variants is not reserved for goods vehicles from 18 ton gross weight. By means of the specially designed steel frame corners with integrated gusset plates on the PWP corner pillars, any PWP aluminium trailer kit (goods vehicle version) can be mounted on the Cargotrail aluminium floor frame. Fixed top or sliding top, tilt roof, with or without side boards, 3 portal door variants or is a tail lift needed? Everything is possible it's the customer's choice. 11 9 Cargotrail steel floor frame SSP1 with PWP aluminium trailer kit Work horse Ranged since 2002, the PWP aluminium trailer kit body remains almost unchanged over its thousand-fold international deployment. Fundamental changes in the overall concept such as the pillar cross sections have, until now, not been necessary. Nevertheless, the available body variants are always in line with the current requirements of the transport sector: fixed top or sliding top, tilt roof, with or without side boards, with or without side planks the customer can configure the body to their individual requirement. Options: Body certified to DIN EN Code XL, Appendix A or B. (Appendix B for palletised beverage crate transport.) Body length approx mm, 7200 mm or 7800 mm internal clear length. Other lengths by shortening the stated standard lengths. Floor thickness 24 or 30 mm. Centre pillar. MultiSave crossmember. 12 10 The new Cargotrail steel floor frame SSP2 with building materials dropside For tradesmen Completely redeveloped, with optimised top hat profile crossmembers and lashing eyes integrated into the outer frame, the building materials dropside body exhibits robustness and extreme resilience on any building site. Options: Body certified to DIN EN Code XL. Optionally with zinc galvanised subframe or with steel angle sections which can be welded to any (crane) subframe. Body length approx mm internal clear length. Other lengths by shortening the standard lengths. Floor thickness 27 mm. Side boards optionally with side board support using gas struts. 13 11 Load restraint The numerous lashing anchor points in the outer frame of the new Cargotrail building materials dropside are fast and simple to use, regardless of whether the side boards are open or closed. The special concept enables diagonal and vertical lashing over the entire length of the body. The outer frame is tested as a load restraint unit to DIN EN with a load capacity of 2000 dan per lashing point. The new MultiSave crossmember can also be supplied as an option. Subframe Optionally with zinc galvanised subframe or with steel angle sections which can be welded to any (crane) subframe. On the next 22 pages all the current Cargotrail body variants are listed which are certified to DIN EN Code X, Appendix A or B. Whether aluminium or steel floor frame, as platform or curtainsider, with loadthrough window from trailer to goods vehicle or with fixed wall portals front and rear everything's there. In the case of the Cargotrail body there are variants with 1 centre pillar per side with an internal length of up to mm. In practice, the requirement for a top other than the Lite type registered in our certificate and test book is no great problem as the majority of certified Cargotrail bodies supplied to DIN EN Code XL do not have the permissible maximum dimensions. 39 Load shoring beams for through-loadable front portals to DIN EN Code XL, Appendix B For trailer bodies with through-loading from trailer to goods vehicle (front portal door instead of headboard) certified to Appendix B, which are vehicles for transporting palletised beverage crates, load shoring beams must be mounted in the 1 front portal with a total load bearing capacity of 3000 dan over the entire height of the load horizontally and symmetrically. To this end, we recommend fitting the 1 Airline profile anchor track 4002-AL over as much of the entire interior height as possible. With a profile depth of 9.8 mm, the least through-loading width is lost. There is a choice of shoring beams: the stable 2 pivoting cargo beam , the 3 rectangular shoring beam and numerous 4 round shoring bars. To achieve the necessary total load capacity of 3000 dan, 2 2 pivoting cargo beams or alternatively 5 3 rectangular shoring beams or round shoring bars must be used, depending on design type, evenly distributed over the load height. A further disadvantage of this specification is the loss of loading length. With optimum fitting of the anchor rail in the PWP trailer kit portal frame, the loading length is decreased using the 2 pivoting cargo beam by 67 mm and using the 3 rectangular shoring beam by 59 mm Please consider these dimensions when configuring the body. Plastic linkages control the deployment and folding of the roof tarpaulin. Vertical and horizontal rollers as well as rigidly screwed roof spars enable simple and twist-free side operation from the ground. The roof structure is particularly stable when the vehicle is in motion. Due to volume optimisation it is now possible with the cant rail Lite Plus 175/Slimliner Large to load the body to pallet cage width (2480 mm) and to three high instead of the previous two standard pallet cages stacked on top of each other. When assembling the vehicle body, individual lashing points are no longer added but a system platform is instead created with which the most diverse load securing tasks can be solved. Peg around the form-fitted load with the MultiStick 70 plug-in pillars job done. It's easy, anyone can do it, it costs little time a gain with every loading operation. MultiSave is integrated into the floor frame like a conventional crossmember. It acts as locator for the MultiStick 70 plug-in pillar system and tie-down straps with double J-hook end fittings 5002 can also be anchored. Appropriate tie-down straps can be found in our Load Restraint catalogue. The MultiSave crossmember is certified to DIN EN Code XL and tested as a lashing anchor point to DIN EN with a permissible load capacity of 2000 dan in vehicle longitudinal and lateral directions.
