2 *Staff recommends accepting the low bid in the amount $17,356 from Signature Ford for a 2018 Ford Fusion S 4-Door sedan, for use in the Detective Bureau. This item was not budgeted Door Crossover/Utility AWD/4WD Bidder Price Model Berger Chevrolet *22,649 Chevrolet Equinox Jorgensen Ford 24,000 Ford Escape Signature Ford 24,035 Ford Escape Staff recommends accepting the low bid in the amount $22,649 from Berger Chevrolet for a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox Crossover/Utility AWD/4WD, for use by engineering department. $25, was budgeted for this vehicle. The pickup trucks and crossover vehicles are replacement vehicles and included in the FY17-18 budget. A budget amendment is needed for the Detective Bureau vehicle, as it was not included in the original budget. This purchase became necessary when an additional detective was added to budget after the vehicle budget had been finalized. Recommendation It is recommended that Council award vehicle bids as follows: ¾ Ton 4X4 Ford F-250 Pickup Truck w/plow from Signature Ford at a cost of $33, Ton 4X4 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Pickup Truck with service body, power lift gate and class IV hitch assembly from Berger Chevrolet a cost of $43, Ford Fusion S four-door sedan from Signature Ford at a cost of $17, Chevrolet Equinox AWD/4WD from Berger Chevrolet at a cost of $22,469 It is further recommended that the Centralized Equipment and Vehicle Fund be amended in the amount $17,356 to pay for the additional sedan to be used by the Detective Bureau.
