Based on the information provided by the contractor, the areas of missing dowels appear to be only at the sill walls below the interior glazing. Therefore, provide the following adhesive dowels: Provide #4 vertical adhesive dowels as required for the 6" CMU wall with 7" embed into the footing in Hilti HIT-HY 200 adhesive. Provide sufficient length to lap to vertical reinforcement. Place a dowel at the first cell from the full height pier and then at 16" on center spacing maximum per the required vertical spacing. Provide hooked slab dowels as required (if bars were not installed per detail 1/S5.01) on each side of the CMU wall with 7" embedment into the footing in Hilti HIT-HY 200 adhesive. The hooked slab dowels shall be placed at 4" from the footing edge. Please note that this adhesive dowel fix shall only be applied at the location indicated per this RFI. The response to this RFI does not allow for adhesive dowels to be placed in similar instances. Please cast in place all dowels as required per details." Contractor Solution for Consideration: Please provide a detail for placing these bars using epoxy. Simpson Set-XP is preffered. This is the next area that the masons would like to move to.
