We have been manufacturing USA-made coated abrasive products since Proven early on as pioneers in the industry, we are one of the first manufacturers of resin fibre discs in North America. We focus on innovative thinking, revolutionary design, reliable functionality, and maintaining a vigilant commitment to unsurpassed craftsmanship. Our History Marvel Abrasive Products, LLC (formerly Bates Abrasive Products Inc.) was purchased by the Maran family in 1972 and began marketing Marvel abrasive products through industrial distribution. Armand Maran patented the Marveledge back-up pad system and fibre disc island pattern grain coating process. Marvel was then acquired by Les and Barbara Branch in 2003, and through the considerable contributions of Christopher North, immediately began the process of redesigning, expanding and upgrading their resin fibre disc program to world class status. Presently Marvel is a primary manufacturer of resin fibre discs and fabricates several types of non-woven and cloth-backed materials into a wide range of coated abrasive product forms for use on portable electric and pneumatic power tools. Our core product emphasis includes an extensive offering of resin fibre discs, quick-change locking discs, nonwoven abrasives and back-up pad systems. Continuing our longstanding reputation as an industry innovator, we are firmly committed to new product development and cost containment practices to streamline our production processes throughout our manufacturing facility. Pricing: The pricing of products listed in our Price List are suggested consumer prices and are subject to change and distributor discounting. Minimum Order: No minimum order size will be enforced so long as all products are ordered in published standard box quantities. Payment Terms: 1% 10 Days - Net 30 Days. Reasonable collection and/or attorney fees will be assessed to all accounts placed for collection. Freight: Freight will be prepaid on invoices having a $500 net value, and shipped as one order to a single destination within the continental United States. Shipping charges for orders having a net value of less than $500, or for shipments requiring special handling, the cost of the freight will be prepaid and added to the invoice. Product Warranty: Marvel Abrasive Products, LLC guarantees their products to be free from defect in material and workmanship when used under normal conditions at safe operating speeds. Marvel s liability on any basis is limited to the purchase price of the product for which damages are claimed. No liability is assumed for delays or our failure to make delivery due to conditions beyond our control, including but not limited to delays of carriers, accidents, labor disputes and other occurrences. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied. 7

Special Products: Marvel Abrasive Products, LLC reserves the right to ship +/- 10% when filling orders for made-to-order products. Sales of special or custom products shall be considered final and are not subject to return unless considered defective. Return Policy: No merchandise can be returned for credit without prior authorization. All returned merchandise must accompany a Marvel provided Return Goods Authorization Number and must be shipped to Marvel Abrasive Products, LLC, freight prepaid. Products must be in standard packaged quantities and in acceptable resale condition. At our discretion, up to 15% restocking charge may be assessed on returns of standard stocked products. No returns will be accepted on products after 90 days from the date of shipment. Claims filed after five business days will result in the request for adjustment being disallowed. Pricing Discrepancies: All claims of pricing discrepancies must be made within thirty (30) days after invoice date as defined by date of shipment on the order. 11 The Details Safety Operation Safety: Always comply with ANSI B (R2011) Safety Requirements for Abrading Materials with Coated Abrasive Systems and OSHA regulations. Always wear impact-resistant safety glasses or eye shields when using any coated abrasive. Operators using machine or tool-mounted coated abrasives should wear dust masks, aprons, arm guards, gloves, hearing protection and safety shoes as is necessary to ensure safe use. Most dusts generated when grinding are from the material being ground. Excessive dust inhalation may affect the breathing function. To avoid potential respiratory impairment, always use proper ventilation controls and other protective measures to the materials being ground. If a machine/tool is designed for, or equipped with guards, it should not be operated without the guards properly installed into place. All machine/tool adjustments and abrasive product installation and removal should be done with the power service in the off position. Coated abrasive back-up pad systems should be rated equal to or greater than the maximum no-load speed of the machine/tool. Refer to maximum RPM ratings as marked by the manufacturer. Coated abrasive discs requiring back-up pad systems should always be like-sized. Storage Practices Many coated abrasive backings are made with wood pulp and/or cotton, which can absorb or lose moisture as the relative humidity changes. These atmospheric changes can impact the physical properties of the product (e.g. shape, flexibility, size, flatness, etc.). Recommended storage conditions for coated abrasive forms are 40% to 50% relative humidity and 60 to 85 F (15 to 29 C). Coated abrasives should be stored several inches (4 ) above concrete flooring, away from open windows, direct sunlight and heat sources such as radiators, furnaces and steam pipes. It is also suggested that coated abrasives be stored in their original containers and packaging until needed. Coated abrasives generally have extremely long shelf lives, however, they should be used on a first-in, first-out basis. Selection & Inspection The properties of backing materials used for coated abrasives vary greatly (e.g. type, strength, flexibility, durability, resistance to water absorption, etc.) and will influence or determine the range and type of use. Always be sure to refer to all provided information for safe operational use. Coated abrasive products, especially those to be used on power tools and mechanical equipment, should be visually inspected for defects and abnormalities prior to use. For example, abrasive discs such as resin fibre discs should not be used if they exhibit nicks, cuts, or tears around the center hole or the outer edge of the disc perimeter. Always check the machine/tool operating speed against the established maximum safe operating speed of the abrasive product to be used. 11

12 The Details Performance Tiers To help identify the varying levels of performance in our product categories having multiple choices, we have created tiers that will relate the relationship between different grain options and an expectation of performance. We provide these guidelines for the following product categories: Max Force+ MAX FORCE+ products are made with high concentrations of premium ceramic grain and will deliver the very best disc performance and value for the particular category. As a general rule, the end user can expect faster rates-of-cut and extended service life from MAX FORCE+ rated products. Resin Fibre Discs: SG, SGP, SGW, SGWP Quick-Change Cloth Discs: SGP (Type-R and Type-S) Quick-Change Fibre Discs: SG, SGP (Type-R and Type-S) PSA Cloth-Backed Discs: SGP Max Force MAX FORCE products are made with blends of ceramic and alumina zirconia grain, each having self-sharpening characteristics that will provide an exceptional value for an entry level high-performance product. End users will experience enhanced rates-of-cut and service life versus products made with alumina zirconia and/or aluminum oxide grain. Resin Fibre Discs: SGL, SGLP Quick-Change Fibre Discs: SGL, SGLP (Type-R and Type-S) HIGH ENERGY HIGH ENERGY products are made with premium, self-sharpening alumina zirconia grain and offer the end user a significant step-up in overall performance/cost value versus products made with aluminum oxide grain. We manufacture an extensive offering of application-specific resin fibre discs, ranging from general purpose aluminum oxide to high-performance ceramic so you can select the option that is best suited for your particular needs. Paper Backing Cabinet Paper Aluminum oxide grain. Medium-Light (C) and medium-heavy (D) paper backings blend reduced flexibility with added strength. Cabinet paper is most frequently used to remove surface defects left by machine sanding before finishing. Opencoated grain surface resists loading. Waterproof Paper Silicon carbide grain.
