Comments These cars were apparently originally used in noninterchange service in Indiana between Squaw Creek Coal Company mines near Boonville and Lynnville and Alcoa s Warrick Generating Station about ten miles away. Squaw Creek Coal Company was a joint venture of Alcoa and the Peabody Coal Company. The Yankeetown Dock Corporation was jointly owned by Amax Coal Company and Peabody Coal Company and granted trackage rights to Squaw Creek Coal Company. Alcoa owns the former mine site and completed partial reclamation of the south field in The north field contains a toxic waste dump containing chromium hydroxide sludge, a by-product of aluminum coil cleansing. The dump also contains coal tar pitch. The Squaw Creek North mine in Warrick County produced 62,897 tons of coal in The last three digits of the original number appear near the upper left corner of each car side.
