Units can be used for flask or flaskless moulds or combination of the two. Crane controls can be included and if required, a hoist on monorail or X-Y crane can be offered. DESIGN AND LAYOUT Lauds Foundry Equipment GmbH s Engineering Team use state of the art 3D design software to develop and improve our equipment. Using the latest design software allows LFE to visualise the machinery before it is built. It is also possible to carry out advanced FEA on the 3D models giving Engineers an insight to the stresses the machine can experience. When it comes to plant layouts our Engineers have both 2D and 3D software at their disposal allowing us to give the most flexible approach to the consumer s requirements. 20 SECONDARY RECLAMATION csand RECLAMATION The L.S.R. unit comprises of two vibratory motors per set, each fixed onto a steel plate lined with ceramic material. The primary reclaimed sand is gravity fed into the L.S.R. unit with the aid of a calibrated gate valve. The sand enters between the ceramic plates which have a pneumatic actuator, at a set pressure, which maintains the grains of sand between the plates long enough to condition the sand against each other by vibration. The two opposing plates vibrate using sand on sand action to clean the resin off. The correct pressure ensures no damage is done to the sand but only allows the removal of additional resin. Aggressive fluidization then allows for the resin to be extracted into the filter unit. The sand can then be taken back into the moulding process, by way of pneumatic transfer, with a minimum percentage virgin addition being required.
