5 Parking Lot and Tailgating Policies Reserved parking and tailgating on football game days is a wonderful aspect of game day at TCU. The University s tailgating policy is designed to ensure: The comfort and enjoyment of game day patrons, The safety, security, and well-being of all people associated with game day activities, and The safeguarding and preservation of all public property under the management of the University. In an effort to be accommodating to our donors AND maintain an organized game day parking environment designed to serve all and enhance the donor experience and adhere to TCU rules and policies, The TCU Frog Club has adopted the following policies regarding vehicle parking, RVs, trailers, additional vehicles and tailgating equipment. TCU reserves the right to suspend or revoke your parking privileges for noncompliance of policies and regulations. In the event of revocation, no refunds will be provided. ALL DONOR PARKERS AGREE TO ADHERE TO ALL STATED POLICIES AND RULES OF THE 2015 DONOR FOOTBALL PARKING POLICY MANUAL WHEN PARKING PASS IS ISSUED. POLICIES AND REGULATIONS Donor Parking Donor parking lots open 5 hours before kickoff and have up to three hours after home games starting at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., later games require that the lots must be cleared 90 minutes after conclusion of game. The TCU Frog Club policy on donor parking is One Pass = One Space, One Vehicle per space. Each pass entitles the bearer to the space within the confines of the marked parking space only. All vehicles must be in compliance with dimensions of a standard parking space. The standard parking space is 9 ft x 18 ft. Any vehicle larger than these dimensions is considered an oversized vehicle and will be required to park in the RV lot provided. No tailgating areas are included or promised with any specific parking space. Trailers, tow-behind units, 5 th -wheel trailers or any type of unit hitched to a vehicle IS CONSIDERED AN ADDITIONAL VEHICLE and requires a Frog Club donor parking pass. One pass for their vehicle AND one pass for their trailer at the corresponding gift level for that lot if space available. For example, a Jim Swink Lot donor who wants to bring a trailer into the Jim Swink Lot will need to purchase two (2) Jim Swink Lot passes at $2000 each + applicable fees (total gift required in this case is $4000). 5
6 The additional towed unit must be in compliance with dimensions of a standard parking space. The standard parking space is 9 ft x 18 ft. Any additional towed unit larger than these dimensions is considered an oversized vehicle and will be required to park in the RV lot provided. Golf carts are only allowed if street legal with state license permit and must display parking pass for space. Use of motorized recreational vehicles, including four-wheelers, golf carts, mules, gators, scooters, motorized skateboards, etc. are prohibited unless pre-approved by TCU Athletics. Texas Christian University does not allow the permit holder any right to display advertising, banners, signs, or commercially logoed vehicles or the distribution of promotional items anywhere on the grounds or parking areas of Texas Christian University. Donor parking spaces are intended for the private use of the donor and guests. Banners and signage recognizing businesses may not be displayed unless approved through the TCU Athletic Marketing office or TCU s IMG office. All companies interested in game day marketing please contact the TCU Athletic Marketing Department at (817) Parking Garage General Parking Lot Due to safety concerns the following policies are required for garage parkers. All spaces are first come, first serve. No grills, smokers, or open flame of any kind. No tents or canopies. No tailgating equipment (chairs, coolers, etc.) can be placed in driving lanes or open parking spaces. RV Parking RVs or vehicles with attached trailers are the only type of vehicle allowed in the Lot 13 RV Lot. Any vehicle or towed unit over 9x18 is considered oversize and must park in the RV Lot. Any additional vehicle used for transport requires an additional parking pass outside of the Lot 13 RV lot unless it fits within your RV space and does not encroach into roadways or neighboring spaces. An additional parking pass in other donor lots can be purchased for the accompanying vehicle. RV parkers are allowed to move into the RV lot on the Friday evening before a Saturday home game at 6:00 p.m. and must exit the lot by 10:00 a.m. the following Sunday morning. The exception to the entering policy is for home soccer games. No admittance into the lot until the conclusion of game and clearing of the lot. Alternative parking for those arriving early will be communicated by to all RV parkers. There will be no overnight parking before or after weekday home games, unless the game falls on a holiday weekend in which the University is closed. 6
7 Tailgating The person(s) purchasing the parking pass are responsible for the conduct of their guests. Make sure you and your guests are respectful and courteous to all game day employees and other fans. TCU reserves the right to suspend or revoke your parking privileges for unruly fans, inappropriate behavior, etc. Per University policy, no tailgating equipment or gathering is permitted in the driveways within parking lots, road ways, pedestrian walkways or fire lanes. No tents, shelters, grills or cookers are allowed in the fire lanes or roadway. Please tailgate within the confines of your parking space and keep tailgating items adjacent to the front or rear of your vehicle. Continued noncompliance with this policy could result in parking privileges being revoked. One pass, one parking space slot. A donor parking pass must be visible at all times while using the parking space. Parking spaces are to be used for automobiles or tailgating equipment. If parking space is used for tailgating equipment (cooker, grill, etc.) a parking pass for that space must be displayed within the space. No setting up of tailgate equipment on grass areas adjacent to donor parking lots is allowed until 6 hours prior to game time. Chaining, placing equipment and/or roping off of parking or tailgating spaces to reserve your space is prohibited. No drop-offs of items or persons will be permitted in reserved parking lots. No tailgating equipment is to be placed in any University landscaped area. Please keep tailgating equipment out of University landscaping. Trailers and vehicles are prohibited from parking on the grass or any landscaped areas. At no time should any parking space be confused or misconstrued as a camping space. Catering/Professional Tent Rentals: Donor parkers are limited to preparing food for their family and guests. Private catering companies are not allowed in donor parking lots unless arrangements have been made and approved through the TCU Frog Club Office. Private catering companies and professional tent rental companies must be on the approved TCU vendor list and hold the appropriate liability insurance. Fire extinguishers (ABC) or a bucket of water must accompany any cooker or grill. Dump stations are available in most lots for coals and or ashes. The disposal of grease, hot coals or hazardous materials onto the grounds or into storm drains is prohibited. The hooking into, connecting to, or similar use of University utilities such as electrical or water sources, is expressly prohibited. Generators may be used but must not damage University property.
