Universal service thanks to interchangeable arms for any required depth. Converts from outside pulling to inside pulling by simply reverse-mounting the arms. From size 2 on up, optionally employable as mechanical or hydraulic puller. Claws that stay constantly parallel in any position, so only the contact faces actually touch the part to be pulled, and uniform, safe, symmetrical pulling is guaranteed. Slender, optimal-access grippers for use in tight places. Two-arm heads with wrench flats for support, particularly for pulling unusually tight-fitting or pivoted parts. (sizes ) Unimpeded positioning and fixation of the arms on the part to be pulled, and quick, reliable retention in the desired position, with countersunk screws for safe handling. Smooth-turning, high-power pressure screws with a slip guard for the handling wrench and a live centering point to prevent damage to the component from which the part is to be pulled. A mechanical puller can be converted to an hydraulic puller by simply replacing the mechanical pressure screw with a hydraulic pressure screw. Recommendation: Whenever access to the part to be pulled is adequate, a three-arm puller should be given preference, as it distributes the applied force more uniformly.

17 Separators and pulling devices, type series 15, 17, 18 These tools are used in combination, by combining the separators (series 15 or 17) with the pulling device (series 18). For use in pulling ball bearings, roller bearings, inner races and other tight-fitting parts off of shafts, spindles and axles. The sharp, wedge-shaped edges of the separator jaws (no. 15 or 17) engage behind the parts to be removed and pry them off of their seats. For pulling items off of a shaft, use the separator together with a suitably sized series-18 pulling device. The bolts of the matching pulling device screw into the two tapholes on the separator. Pulling is then effected by tightening the mechanical or hydraulic screw against the end of the shaft. 17
