3 2. Dead Centres High precision carbide Dead Centres for grinding, measuring and inspection. Optimal grinding results because of high roundness of the 6 point and the precision of the morse taper. Dead Centres hardened steel with thread and spanner flat for rotating tailstock sleeves. pages Special Centres Special Centres enable: an optimal clamp of the workpiece as unrestricted access as possible of the tool to the workpiece The delivery time for a Special Centre amounts to 3-4 weeks. page 22 High Precision Air Chucks Rotating air chucks are ideal for precision turning and grinding applications that call for close concentricity and squareness tolerances, stationary air chucks for milling, drilling, tapping, welding etc. Variable clamping force enables clamping of thin-walled and other fragile parts with minimal distortion. ROTOR air chucks are available in sizes from 5 to 2 mm in diameter, in 2 and 3 jaw configurations. page

8 With Support and Forcing Nut All sizes and types from MT 2 onwards are available with a forcing nut (incl. spanner), which can be fixed as a supporting nut at the spindle sleeve. A frictional connection between the Live-Centre and the spindle sleeve is therefore established. When ordering, please add...-as to the order number. Example of an order: ROTOR 521-AS= ROTOR-Live-Centre MT 5 SU, type N with support and forcing nut Coolant Deflector Coolant deflector as an additional protection against coolant and dirt. This additional seal is turning along with the spindle and seal against the front cover. Consequently the function of the coolant deflector is not only a seal but also a centrifuge. We recommend the coolant deflector at strong coolant supplies and grinding. Length tolerances and different centre bores are compensated through a travel stroke at fixed positions. Correspondingly light workpieces can be clamped very fine.
