Is your compressor, it s switches, it s capacity control unloaders like new? Of course not! Any or all of these may contribute to it not cooling like it once did. You can do needed maintenance and restore SOME of it s shortcomings. No CLEAN the evaporator coil - with a good coil cleaner, spray it on, let is soak for 20 minutes and clean with a good hose wand that is designed to spray directly between the fins: We have them for $ UPS. No CLEAN the condenser coil - with coil cleaner as above + a good water hose. No CHECK compressor operation: Are all heads pumping? A point-and-shoot-infrared thermometer will tell for sure. ($ UPS.) Between top 2 bolts on a head, and between bottom 2 bolts should be over 30 degrees apart, near 0, you have a bad unloader or broken valves, if deg. apart, probably at least 1 broken valve.
