9 PRICE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN AT, IT AND HU MARKETS HISTORICAL PRICE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MARKETS VTP Austria being a transit country both towards Italy and Hungary VTP became a reference price among normal market circumstances, so both Italy and Hungary are traded typically with premium. This premium mostly reflects the actual market circumstances of supply and demand and short and long term cost elements (such as capacity fees) PRICE DIFFERENCES ON THE BAUMGARTEN INCIDENT DAY VTP Gas flow from Austria towards Italy was restricted, so Italian prices skyrocketed as liquidity disappeared from the market and Italy had a serious security-of-supply situation, while Hungarian prices remained relatively stable due to the high storage stocks and undisturbed Eastern flow Day-Ahead prices on 12/12/2017 in EUR/MWh VTP Austria: PSV Italy: Source: ICIS Heren ESGM, day-ahead mid prices Ceegex Hungary: Source: Ceegex reference price 9

10 PRICE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN AT, IT AND HU MARKETS (cont d) PRICE DIFFERENCES DURING THE MILD JANUARY VTP The mild January 2018 resulted slower than expected storage withdrawals in Hungary and price differences between Austria and Hungary have almost disappeared, while the Italian price premium remained stable. The AT-IT spread widened even further, while HU prices were unable to reach these levels.
