Static or dynamic colours create engaging effects. Considering obtrusive light Light is most effective when we are not aware of it. D-CO LED, E/Fact Slim 3 and Mica Slim offer precise beam control and thoughtful on site application will assist with preventing obtrusive light. Luminaires can be positioned close to the subject they are lighting, i.e. illuminate foliage from directly underneath. For building façades, position the luminaires close to the building and use angled lighting to distribute all of the output onto the facade. For marking out pathways, use low wattage light sources with frosted glass. Where relevant, aim the luminaires accurately. The limitation of obtrusive light is also accommodated by using the minimum quantity of luminaires. In many installations, surprisingly little light is required to produce a dramatic effect. The actual amount will vary depending on ambient light levels, therefore, lighting levels are needed before a successful lighting design can be produced. 7

Installation/Mounting For outdoor applications, 30cm drainage gravel or any equivalent drainage system must be used beneath the housing to ensure water can evacuate. The recessed box can be embedded in asphalt with good drainage once the temperature of the asphalt is approximately 80 C. D-CO LED: Luminaires delivered complete with body, recess box, frame and glass. All the fittings are supplied with 5m cable. Mini kit luminaires are individually pre-wired with a 5m cable and supplied with an 8 way connection box, containing gear and connectors including a specific connector for through wiring. The maximum static load is 500kg. To facilitate quick installation, the wiring can be done via IP67 wiring connectors (SAP codes or ). For through wiring, IP67 connection boxes can be used (SAP code ). E/Fact Slim 3: Luminaires delivered complete with body, recess box, frame and glass, cable. Luminaire must be operated for 45 minutes without its front glass to avoid moisture building up inside the housing. The maximum static load is 1000kg.
