Check of Elevator Specific Data at Inverter Parameter Example Input P 13 Gear ratio i = 45:1 i = 50:2 P 14 Traction sheave diameter in mm P 15 Suspension of elevator 1:1 2:1 P 25 Rated speed vn 1,0 m/s P 40 Motor type for example P 17 In order to check the correct input of the above data the relevant rated motor speed vn is here being calculated. All new inverters produced from July 2002 have been programmed ex works with the relevant drive data. DEE 132 M 005 Please select correct motor! The relevant type is shown at the motor plate. Note: there are several motor types shown in parameter P 40. Issue 08/ of 5
3 2. Possible Errors How to Put Them Right a) Drive runs not regularly or at low RPM and jerks. b) Motor RPM is not constant, varies or motor stops. c) Drive does not start. Motor does not turn. Change direction of rotation in P 4 (inverted / not inverted). Check of encoder: Activate P 105 at inverter. Open brake of machine. Then turn handwinding wheel one revolution left and one revolution right. Check data on display of inverter for about 4050 impulses per revolution of handwinding wheel (exactly 4096 impulses). Pulses of encoder wrong: Check parameter P 96. Set 4096 impulses. Check trigger signal P 103 (binary code): Example: no feedback of travel contactors from control (QSP- or QSP1-signals) d) Abrupt stop of drive after deceleration. Activate QSP-feedback: go to Bit 2 6 => set 1. Trigger signal P 103 (binary code) check together with signal switch sequence. Signal for direction of travel might be switched-off too early. e) Pre-fuse has opened. Firstly sort out reason for opening of fuse, then change pre-fuse. Inverter internal fuse has opened. Change inverter! Never change fuse. Issue 08/ of 5

Further Control Possibilities a) P 107 indication of load current b) P 111 calculated deceleration distance P 112 measured deceleration distance c) Error message TKK (temperature heat sink too high) Full load, without load, traction, braking. Until v 0 has been reached. For determination of the floor selectors deceleration level. Shown on LED in addition to error stack. Error message TMOT Shown on TMC- or TMI-card. (motor temperature too high) d) Switching order from start: 1. Select direction of rotation Upwards direction = 3b / terminal / downwards direction = 4b / terminal 2. Select speed vn / v2 / vi / v0 5b / 6b / 7b / 8 b After selection of 1. and 2.: 3. Inverter activates main contactor => Inverter is fed with 400 V. ESP-signal 4a / 5a. Voltage free contact in inverter. 4Inverter waits for registration of main contactors QSP 7a / 8a. 220 V AC-input in inverter (alternatively QSP1 24 V DC-signal at 10b). 5Inverter starts-up torque in motor and opens brake via EBS-signal => a) voltage free make contact 1a / 2a (message inverter ready); => b) lift car drives with pre-selected speed to selected landing. Elevator drives to selected landing. At 1. floor selector it will be switched to levelling speed v 0. About 5-10 cm before reaching a landing all speeds are inactivate. Elevator drives at landing level. => brake is activated; => motor is without torque after switching-off direction. Upwards direction (3b) or downwards direction (4b); => main contactors are inactivate. Direction of rotation is being activated as first signal and inactivated as last signal otherwise an emergency stop or abrupt deceleration will follow. Issue 08/ of 5

Error Reports in Error Stack Possible Reasons vist unequal vsoll ±10% ZK overvoltage CAN-error Overtemperature motor Encoder not connected or defect; direction of rotation P 4 wrong; motor torque too low (please check P 40 for right motor). Braking resistor not connected to terminals RA1 (20) and RA2 (21); wrong Ohm-value; wrong performance of resistor. The interface type is directly being recognised by the inverter, thus without TIC-card the inverter automatically uses the CAN-bus as interface. Should a CAN-bus error occur while the TIC-card is installed, either the ribbon cable to the TMI- / TMC-card is defect or not correctly connected or the TIC-card itself is defect.. Motor thermistor not connected to terminals TM 1 (17) and TM 2 (18). Issue 08/ of 5
