4 C&I Energy Savings Program We ve already helped our customers earn more than $11.3 MILLION in incentives, and save more than MILLION kwh of electricity per year. We are ready to assist YOU!
5 Small Business Program Eligibility Pepco and Delmarva Power s commercial and industrial customers in Maryland Small businesses, non-profits, faith based, or institutional customers that register a maximum monthly demand of 100 kw or less over the last twelve months in an existing building are eligible for this program Walk-Through Energy Assessment will be provided at no charge Once low cost and no cost measures are completed, customer is eligible to receive the enhanced incentives
6 Trade Ally Network Customers are required to use an approved Small Business Program trade ally Walk-Through Energy Assessment must be completed by a SBP trade ally (or a Program representative) Equipment upgrades must be installed by an approved SBP trade ally
7 Small Business Program Customer Benefits Walk-Through Energy Assessment that identifies energy-savings opportunities The assessment is performed at your convenience at no charge Approved Small Business Program trade ally will install up to $ of recommended low cost measures Cash incentives that can greatly reduce the financial burden of installing new equipment Many incentives cover up to 80% of the program-estimated installed cost Experienced Trade Ally Network can perform the work, allowing you time to focus on other priorities
8 Standard measures Small Business Program Highlights Lighting upgrades: the incentive is designed to be approximately 80%-90% of the estimated installed cost for each measure VFD and Refrigeration upgrades which cost less than $2,000: the incentive will be approximately 80%-90% of the estimated installed cost For more expensive VFD and Refrigeration measures: the incentive will cover 40%-50% of estimated installed costs Packaged HVAC incentives: approximately doubled from those offered to nonsmall business customers Custom and Alternative Measures Measures not eligible for standard may be eligible for a one time payment of $0.30/kWh based on one year of projected savings. Complete your project early and receive an additional 10% in incentives! Standard measure projects completed within two months, and custom projects completed within four months, are eligible for an additional 10% in incentives

14 Packaged HVAC Units Standard incentives are available HVAC Projects HVAC Incentives Packaged Equipment - $200 per ton Water source heat pump units - $200 per ton Evaporative-cooled air conditioning units - $200 per ton Ground source heat pump units (geothermal) - $200 - $500 per ton Packaged terminal heat pump units - $100 - $120 per ton Packaged terminal Air conditioning units - $80-$100 per ton Dual enthalpy economizer controls - $400 per unit
15 Commercial Kitchen Equipment We offer cash incentives for upgrading to new energy efficient ENERGY STAR qualified electric equipment for food preparation Hot Food Holding Cabinets $400 to $600 Convection Ovens - $800 Combination Ovens - $1,800 Griddles - $250 Fryers - $500 Steam Cookers - $1,500
16 Commercial Refrigeration Equipment Refrigeration and freezer equipment - $1,000 to $4,000 per unit Ice Machines - $700 to $2,400 per unit Anti-sweat heat controls: coolers and freezers - $80 per door Reach-in door closer: coolers and freezers - $80 per door Strip (thermal) curtains for walk-in coolers or freezers - $10 per sf ECM evaporative fan motor: display cooler and/or freezer - $100 Evaporator fan controller on existing shaded-pole meter - $150 LED lighting in reach-in cooler case and/or freezers - $50 Occupancy Sensors for LED fixtures in reach-in cases: cooler and/or freezer - $25 Vending Machine Controller: refrigerated units - $120
17 Specialized Controls The use of occupancy sensors and personal controls in offices, hotel rooms, and other types of facilities can provide energy savings by preventing lights and other office equipment from consuming electricity when not in use. Smart Power Strips - $18 Personal Occupancy Sensors - $50 Vending Machine Controls - $60 non-refrigerated / $120 refrigerated Hotel room HVAC Controls - $400 per room Hotel electric receptacle controls - $450 per room
18 Custom Projects Custom Projects Projects may include: Measures that are not considered standard (or prescriptive) Compressed Air Energy Management Systems Process Improvements One-time incentive at the rate of $0.30/kWh of one year of projected savings. Current building codes or equipment performance comparisons will typically be used as the baseline.
19 Low-cost Measures Typical measures which fit into this category have little or no capital cost for labor and materials. Examples include: Clear blocked supply and return air distribution vents (HVAC or refrigeration equipment; Limit: 3 per building) Clean or replace air filter and clean exposed/accessible condenser coils associated with A/C or refrigeration units and mark with replacement date Replace incandescent Lamp with CFL (Limit: 6 per building) Install "Smart Strips" for computer equipment and associated multiple plug-in loads (Limit: 3 per building) Insulate exposed water heater pipes (per 6-ft length; Limit: 3 lengths per building) $30.00 Install insulation gaskets on switch and outlet plates on exterior walls (Limit: 10 per building)

22 FAQ s Q. Where can I find a list of the incentives that are eligible for enhanced incentives? A. On our program website: or Q. Does the walk-through request need to be pre-approved by the Program? A. We recommend that you confirm that you are eligible for the Small Business program. You can call the Program Office and we will quickly confirm eligibility.
23 FAQ s Q. How will the Program process WTEA that come directly from a customer and is not associated with a TA? A. Our office will assist the customer by introducing the Trade Ally Network searchable database Q. Can customers install equipment themselves? A. No, equipment must be installed by a approved Small Business Trade Ally Q. Can I install the no-cost and low-cost measures myself. A. The customer may install the no-cost and low-cost measures or the Small Business Program trade ally can quickly install these with your approval. Q. What if there is repair work that must be done in order to install an approved measure? A. The Small Business program will only pay for approved incentive measures
