8 Ingenium Engineering Services Engineering & Science Consultants Phone: 734/ Teal Road Petersburg, Michigan Fax: 734/ COMPENSATION: FEE & CHARGE SCHEDULE Fees are billed to the Client by the tenth of an hour with a minimum charge of 0.25 hour as follows: Forensic Engineering Services Associate, Fire Science Technician Travel Time $225/hour $125/hour $85/hour ½ Hourly Rate EXPENSES: BILLINGS: When in the local area (Southeastern Michigan) away from the Consultant's office, time is billed from the time of departure until the time of return to the Consultant's office. When away from the local area, if more than eight hours of work or travel is performed in one day, the actual time is billed. Day of departure and day of return are prorated. Expenses include but are not limited to; Photographs & Film, Mileage, Transportation, Parking Fees, Lodging & Meals, Rental Equipment, Test Parts. Expenses are charged at Cost. Travel by automobile is billed at the rate of $0.58/mile. Travel outside the local area will be performed by the most economical means compatible with the Clients time and schedule constraints. Invoices will be tendered after the end of each month that time is recorded for the project. A detailed breakdown is furnished itemizing each charge listed on the invoice. Billing from previous invoices not paid will be noted as "Previous Balance". The payment of all fees and expenses is the responsibility of the Client notwithstanding Clients relationship with third parties, contingency arrangements, subrogation, etc. As a convenience, Ingenium Engineering Services may agree to prepare a separate billing for an attorney taking a Consultants discovery deposition, but the responsibility for payment remains that of the Client. Failure to include a chargeable item in one billing shall not constitute a wavier of the right to assess the charges in a subsequent billing. Fees and rates, once established for a job or case, will not be increased for that job or case even though fees may increase for new jobs.
