6 TC 69 PT activities on EMC IEC Edition 1.0, Electric vehicle wireless power transfer (WPT) systems - Part 1: General requirements published in July 2015 contains emission and immunity requirements for wireless power transfer (WPT) systems IEC Edition 2.0, Electric vehicle wireless power transfer (WPT) systems - Part 1: General requirements planned to be published in 2020 should contain emission and immunity requirements IEC TS , Electric vehicle wireless power transfer (WPT) systems - Part 3 Specific requirements for the magnetic field wireless power transfer systems planned to be published in 2018/19 refers to CISPR 11 for emission requirements 6

12 12 Ongoing work in CISPR/B CISPR 11 Edition 6 / Amendment 2 / Fragment 1: Industrial, scientific and medical equipment - Radio-frequency disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement - Requirements for air-gap wireless power transfer (WPT) CISPR/B/687/CDV was circulated on 27/01/2017 but rejected, consequently a new CD will be prepared CISPR/B/698/DC has been circulated to get comments from the National Committees as to the way forward

13 Action items for ACEC (April 2018) Conducted Charging AC charging: No action is required at this point of time except ongoing review of TC 69 documents addressing EMC DC Charging: Some issues raised due to conducted emission limits on DC port to vehicle The current emission limits of IEC do not appear to be sufficient to protect radio reception in the vehicle. The compromise reached is under constant discussion Emission limits of IEC may be too stringent for HPC (950 kw) Wireless Charging ACEC might take a closer look on the current radiated emission discussion for WPT Systems CD of CISPR 11 failed more or less due to the limit line discussion for radiated magnetic fields between 9 khz and 30 MHz 13

14 14 12 The role of ACEC Coordination with ACEC continues and in particular TC 69 and CISPR/B are represented in ACEC A report on EMC activity in the IEC regarding EV is provided at each ACEC meeting TC 69 drafts addressing EMC are reviewed and commented as per Guide 107 requirements
